You forget Yak-9 UT, a better FM, the 12.7 replaced by a 20mm and still keeps the NS-45 APHE round.

It is the epitome of true evil

Tu-1 is at least big and easy to hit.

Fatso still strong tho and i used it to grind out the Yak-9K…i think im evil

It’s strong but like most twin engines it requires your enemy to not have any significant AA or fighter presence. But a 9K is small and agile enough to easily avoid them.

Even though it’s an aircraft that doesn’t even carry the NS-45, everyone seems to have forgotten about a monster that’s far more dangerous than the Yak-9K or Tu-1. I’m talking about the Yak-2 KABB. It’s a large twin-engine aircraft, yet it has nearly the same airframe weight as the Ta 152H, wing loading as light as the Spitfire F Mk IX, and a better rate of climb than the P-47. Those specs are clearly fabricated. Gaijin’s official stat padding isn’t limited to just the NS-45.
Because they are developers, if just one of them claims, “I’ve obtained primary source material,” even the sloppiest, most poorly researched document gets adopted instantly. It’s practically collusion.
On the other hand, players can gather and gather and gather what limited materials they can find, submit them in bug reports, and still get completely ignored. This is the true nature of the BIAS.

Now Yak9k is already like snacks for most of the fighters/Cold War SPAAs in GRB, after nerfing its APHE and accuracy

They need to make the gun less accurate for one. For some blasted reason it’s twice as accurate as other AT aircraft guns for example the 47mm Vickers Ps on the Tempest. Plus those are wing mounted and solid shot which makes them balanced.

Just checked and the max delta angle on the Yak 9Ks NS45 45mm is 0.1 which would be poor for a tank but is very good for an aircraft gun, it’s 0.12 on the NS37, 0.2 on the Vickers Ps and 0.3 on the 75mm M4 (the USAAF 75)

Not only the gun his FM is op too. Yesterday a SPAA hit me in the left wing leaving completely in red and the plane still flying like a minor damage… a German plane for example with the same level of damage can barely fly.

Classic Gaijin.

The NS-45 is simply a NS-37 with a 45mm barrel, thats only 4mm thick at the front where it need to go through the engine block.

So more surface area and less steel, means it would heat up super fast, impeding accuracy.

So it should be less accurate than the NS-37

Surprisingly, the NS-45 barrel is actually shorter than the Mk 108. You know… the very same Mk 108 that’s famous for its ultra low muzzle velocity. Truly Gaijined.

On the barrel length, I was wrong.

Mk 108 has a max delta angle 0.43 so assuming it works like ground weapons the dispersion pattern would look like this visual representation I just made on paint.

Already made a report some months ago that the MK 108 should be more accurate than the MG 151/20, while in WT it’s a lot less accurate.

So even when you get the range right, the chances of hitting a target at 500m or more are much smaller than other autocannons.

US .50cals should probably be around that accurate as the MK 108 currently is.

YAK9K’s APHE code is the same as HE. and that’s why it looks powerful before.

By the way, even at 4.7- 5.7, I can easily shoot down yak9k, no idea why it is OP, even if it is back to 4.7

So a plane with OP cannon, OP ammo and OP flight model is not OP… OK.

OP ammo and OP flight model? OK…
