tank cannon should probably be able to duel even SPAA at quite big range with lower chance of getting hit. but what’s really good in Yak is it’s durability on battlefield. with such damage you can take out at very least 6-8 enemies i suppose, and those are not open tops. other boomers as far as i can remember, should reload after 2-4 kills.
In theory, you can kill tanks with only one shot, which we know is impossible. The other case is ME262’s 50mm cannon; it is pretty hard to aim until close to 500m, and SPAAs can shot you over 1km away
i think you can fap up to 800m. 100% oneshots would also be too taste for caliber lower than 76mm, but you can do very painful crits. i don’t remember how far was my longest kill but it’s pretty capable. it’s not as OP as Germains or any other weaklings tend to picture it (Russian aura, psyops or something), but it’s definitely very capable and not among worst on BR
People are expecting Yak9k, actually, it is just a 3.0 plane with a 45mm gun; most of the fighters are better than it. And also it is still pretty hard to against Cold War SPAA because the APHE won’t explode when it hits something open top or full armors spaa( espically hit skink and pen far from 1km is impossible)
Then we move to another topic, why these players(like someone above believes it has OP FM??) the only thing I can explain is they just know dogfight, which is the same as those who dogfight with zero and Spitfires, then complain they are OP.
i doubt mehsershmites or fw190s are better with their trash dynamics and maneuverability at sea level

Fw190… it is dead, I must say, but F4 or E4/7 is close, especially at low speed, Fw190 should be considered to use as like P47, using speed to take advantages and then back to head on

Russian 12.7mm also hit like a 20mm. So you get a 45mm cannon and a machine gun that hits like a 20mm cannon that has the ballistics similar to the U.S. fifty cal.

The Yak-9K is used in 8.0 br if you face op team with no planes/jets or spaa at all. The 45mm cannon can kill 8.0 br verhicles.
T-34-85 was used quite successfully against challengers back then. Doesn’t make it 10.7 vehicles. Also yeah I totally believe any vehicle of such kind is playable against m163 or any SPAA with giant fire rate and target tracking, tell me more coolstories. At this point stuka should be 8.0 because it carries scary af bombs. Or same with 50-75mm cannon CAS because flight model doesn’t matter against SPAA with such characteristic
Even if the Stuka can attack tanks with its large bombs, it only gets one chance. The Stuka does not have the flight performance needed for air combat, so after dropping its bombs it has no choice but to return to base. If it lingers too long over the battlefield, it will simply become excellent target practice for enemy SPAA.
On the other hand, the Yak 9K/UT can destroy up to 29 tanks with a single click of its 45 mm cannon, or around 14 tanks with a double click. Since it carries no bombs, it does not need to commit to attacking ground targets or expend all its 45 mm ammunition. It can switch to air combat whenever the situation demands.

so you try to tell me grb peelots are so skilled you can’t kill them even with fatworlf-190 or heavier versions of il-2. i do believe yea. as i said the only real supremacy yak has is durability. rest is very much doable. and no, 29 frags is very much an overstatement

It’s not an exaggeration. I simply wrote the theoretical maximum number of kills possible based on the 45mm ammunition capacity. In addition, I also mentioned 14 kills as a more realistic figure.
Even so, this is still quite a high number of Anti Tank kills for a single Light Fighter.

My Yak9K/UT stats don’t agree with You
you can throw your theoretical maximum somewhere else. if we speak about reasonable BRs for yak-9 (5.7 to 6.7 kinda), 29 frags will be barely possible
Please settle down and read the passage carefully.
You expect that people would deploy spaa as CAS appears and once they deploy the CAS has kill 3 verhicles already.

The Stuka is very slow making easy target for any tanks with 12,7mm machinegun mounted on turret.
