Yea but just let people play the way they want man. Sure you can increase rewards for air kills, but don’t punish people that want to use their SPAA as a tank destroyer
Yeah, let people keep killing tanks all the while ignoring CAS planes (especially when people use them for first spawns). Not to mention being literal meta vehicles FOR DESTROYING TANKS at certain BRs for no reason. No, I’m tired of SPAAs focusing on tank destroying more and their autocannons being stupidly OP at certain BRs. Why should gameplay that goes against their whole role be more encouraged than their intended role? It makes no sense. Is the Flakpanzer buff’s aftermath not enough to already show how stupidly broken SPAAs can be against tanks?
Just let people play what they want
Yak-9 is OP, You can check my stats made only in GRB
Trust me,i do know both from giving and receiving end
If the 262 with 1 main chunky gun strafes me,i dont die, sure it can crumble me but i dont die
However the Yak one taps me
I could but i dont wanna be using op vehicles to do good thank you
And that’s why you shouldn’t be a game designer if your response to glaring in-game problems is this
Frankly, you guys gotta decide what is the bigger and more important demon to slay.
Either you accept Ersatz-TD SPAAGs and fully embrace them instead of ridiculing them, give the non-radar ones a short-range lead indicator, then see them be played a lot more often, and some of the players using them will then swat down all the CAS,…
…or keep SPAAGs in a neutered “realistic” state, and wonder why people don’t use most of them or use them incorrectly, while you’re being (revenge) bombed.
Pick One.
People are not going to use vehicles which are frankly target practice vs any tank and also require lobotomized pilots flying towards them to score kills.
I would without a doubt prefer to see SPAAGs go on flanking murder rampages and at least be present on the map NOT sitting in their own spawns uselessly, with the general understanding that at least some of the people using them will then also remember to swat planes when they show up.
If we want to truly solve the mechanical problems with how CAS has been wrongly implemented, its intended counters have to be as boneheaded-easy to swat CAS with as CAS is to bomb tanks with.
Can’t do likes I’ve used allot mine for today, but here: have a ❤️
It’s not a problem. It’s how players choose to play certain vehicles
To be honest, I would like to trust you like a good CAS player instead of believing YAK9K is OP you can use other CAS planes to do the same thing. I can also use F4U1c or F4U4B to do the same as well, we know when a 3.0 or 4.7 aircraft at 5.0/6.0 is pretty hard to survive. you can also check my record to prove that
I don’t trust you anymore; you will become a prime example supporting the excessive nerf of CAS.
As a normal K/D around 1 players, the only thing you can let me know is you will like over 90% YAK9K players kill only 1 ground target and then crash or shot down by SPAAs
You’re just another hypocritical ground player who’s been killed too many times by skilled CAS players and now complains about the entire CAS.
I strongly recommend that you play yak9k/ut at least 100 times with over 3K/D, and then to judge whether they are OP or not
Skill issue. No other way to put it.
And this is why I support (re)buffing SPAAGs and SAMs.
Some people will always complain no matter what happens, simply because they got killed. Games need to be insulated from folk who think like this to avoid damage to the broader game in the name of appeasement of these folk’s whining.
That, plus seeing how the community reacted to the Coelian buffs and the new SAM additions, told me pretty clearly - most people currently complaining about CAS appear to want easy-to-use counters to it. Making them truly as easy to use as the CAS such people hate, paired with common-sense removal of the kill cam and midair spawns would remove at least 90% of the complaints.
Or maybe they want a fairenvironment where they can enjoy tank vs tank combat?
With that, combined gamemode could really thrive.
over 80% CAS players belike
this is basically an every-game occurence if i manage to spawn the 9k, baring in mind one kill and one cap or 2 kills is not hard to achieve
haven’t played this plane since 2017(?), never used it in ground battles until 2 days ago. obscenely busted, absolutely nothing teams can do against this
Like what I have said before:
Such kind of players occupy over at least 80%, they only know kamikaze suicide. and same as those SPAA players as well, keep buffing SPAA and nerfing CAS will make such kind of issue worse, this is not toptier, no F&F agms or GBUs, and also there are tons of ways to anti CAS like yak9ks or similar CAS we have.
On the contrary, forcing players to try to using fighters instead of SPAA would solve this issue. We do have creat tons of monster Cold War SPAAs at WWII BR. And don’t need more, because we have used them like LT instead of SPAA, unless we limit their ammunition like CAS, or we can’t stop using SPAA as LTs
Not at all but think what you want
Theres a difference between being balanced and completely and utterly broken
As @Chocolate_Pasta said,i will try it,i already get plenty of kills with a fricking F104 main gun going supersonic, wouldnt take a genius to make 20+ bombs each game
I support SPAAG (re)buffs, but want to see CAS nerfs stop (and some of the prior ones even reversed).
I think trying to limit SPAAG’s antitank ability is a lost cause and frankly a poor idea of solving all CAS problems.
We saw right after the Coelian buff - complaints about CAS mostly stopped in the BR range it was active in. Why? Precisely because of the Coelian being able to “play like a light/medium tank,” it could actually survive getting into the middle of the action where other players using tanks are, and is thus actually in position to intercept CAS coming in to try killing those tanks. Sure, some people playing SPAAG as rapid-fire light tanks would be oblivious to aircraft and even die to said aircraft, but the general idea is that if people have a good reason to spawn them and bring them out into the main map instead of cowering in their spawns helplessly, then SOME of them will look up and kill the CAS.
Enhancing SPAAGs’ anti-air ability via the proposed short-range lead indicator plays into this. Those same 80% average players go from either not using SPAA or using them terribly to suddenly being decently effective at swatting down CAS as soon as Radar-equipped SPAAG become available. The idea here is to add something similar that does not tell the exact distance, but rather only shows up when the plane is at ranges where it makes sense to open fire at (1.0-1.5km depending on crew training via the Rangefinding skill).
Give people tools that don’t take dozens of matches to merely begin learning, and that aren’t tank target practice, and you’ll find most people will stop complaining and go use them (and die trying to use them).
This serves to isolate the handful of sticks in the mud who steadfastly refuse to go use them, citing “preferences” and whatnot. With intentionally EASY tools to use available, their continued complaints only make them look foolish, leading to them being ignored until they eventually realize they’re getting nowhere and stop themselves.
