The sooner the Yak looses its APHE rounds or gets a large BR increase the better. The thing destroys low tier game play.

One sortie in Sim mode is enough to see that you’re blatantly lying. This plane doesn’t just have reduced recoil — it literally has none. You can hold down the trigger and see that the gunsight LITERALLY doesn’t move until you run out of ammo or the gun jams.
But the funniest part is that the Bf 109, with its 20 mm engine-mounted cannon, has stronger recoil than the Yak-9T.

Yeah, thats one of my favourites.
I think if they rotated the muzzle breaks 90 degrees it would help significantly but 🤷
On a Russian forum there’s a notorious moderator, Columbus, who seriously claimed that that cannon on IFVs/helicopters is better than any Western Bushmasters.

I think the general Idea here is that many other cas aircraft in the game especially at this BR are using bombs and such which add weight and perfomance issues to the airframe of which many cas airframes are larger and not the best in performance to begin with allowing for them to be killed much easier by enemy fighters and spaa, the grizzly was mentioned at some point as a counter argument because of its cannon caliber but forgets to mention its the size of a small house and incredible slow. The Yak series aircraft are exceptional fighters especially in ground rb, and with the cannon rounds not adding to its weight it doesn’t really have a negative tradeoff for being able to kill most if not everything on the ground fairly easily, and a lot of fighters can’t compete with you and most spaa will struggle to hit the small agile frame of the Yak especially since its moving quite quickly.
I get what you mean, but the Grizzly isn’t that bad.
Nor is the a2d-1, or things like the A-1H, F-4U, etc.
Yak-9k requires a bit more skill over bombs. Bombs are universally easy to use, even 250 lb bombs.

Except you have 29 shots.
So you have like 10 shots to destroy a target vs. a bomb, if a fighter carries 3.

you like to forget that FOR THAT BAD MANEUVERABILITY they have 1.3-2.3 BR in grounds. YAK has 5.0
and also carry 1000+ pounds of greetings at 4.0 ratings AND several 12.7 MGs which by themselves count as an anti-air armanment. Okay boomer.
YAK has 5.0 battle rating, has ammunition limited to 30 shots (cobras have 40 to 60), which still hardly capable of oneshots, and has a cannon that cant shoot more than 3 rounds in a row and sends third round “somwhere in direction of” sights. So i see no reason it getting higher
Which however doesnt change that they are both AA and fighter food, while the Yak itself is a fighter.

Exact why the 3.3 planer with 4.0 engine sits at 5.0 at GRB and 4.0 at ARB. Thats the point i was making!
if YAK was as bad of a plane as them, it would sit lower. For example, the LaGG-3-34 sits 2.7 GRB with same cannon as Yat-9T. And the only reason no one cries about that plane is because it was an event reward.
No, If I remember correctly, I doesn’t fly super well and actually takes skill, unlike the Yak9K which is easy to fly.
Every single time someone kills me with it, it only takes 1-3 shots. It’s not a hard plane to play and don’t even try to act like it’s gun isn’t super good.
It is easy to fly asf, especially compared to other 2.7 machinery with heavy armanment. Its not the YaK-3 and you cant simply turnfight every plane (tho YaK-K is also not as maneuverable as YaK-3) but still performs better than any of the high caliber plane at its rank. ESPECIALLY if we keep in mind that its GRB. AND its a great attacker.
funny enough i never got oneshotted with YAK. And keeping in mind that it still positioned at 5.0 with flight model of 3.3 plane is as ridiculous as its canon, i cant find any reason for it to be higher. its already much higher than its flight stats must allow him. All because that armanment.
Its not, especially against planes. Suggesting that YaK-9K is AS effective as fighter as it is effective as attacker is kinda stupid.
No, it flies really well. Pair that with its gun with its fictional APHE shell and you can drop down on any tanks and kill them like it’s nothing
