The non-existence of Russian Bias™ does not preclude Sovetsky Soyuz from being OP, which (due to her unmatched combination of lethality and survivability) she most definitely is.
I’ve retired mine after spading until her features get adjusted and/or more viable competitors get introduced for the other nations; something I haven’t felt compelled to do with any other vessel since the Closed Naval Beta.
Evidence of your reply that does not regurgitate any of my points and instead substitutes your manufactured reality indicates otherwise.
Yak-9K and Yak-9UT are still beyond brainless and barely have basis in reality. Quite similar to you, who appears to barely engage with reality as well. In that sense you and the known troll of this forum that also is not engaged with reality are truly identical. Neither you nor they are to be engaged with at all costs, as one cannot argue with a person who does not live in the same reality as one’s own.
Um… no?
The Mig-27 & A-10 are great examples of large caliber chain guns firing at high as hell rates of fire and being fairly accurate.
Both fire at 5000 rpm.
The mig-27 initially fired at 6000 rpm, but if you held the trigger for more than 1.5 secs you’d crack the airframe from how much reverse energy you get from the burst mass.
This applies to all aircraft though not selectively yak9. Try DCS and Spitfire’s weapons strafing this is literally area effect guns with recoil convergence and wing mounts that they have.
Instructor helps all planes.
The yak-9k was horrendously inaccurate and there are several reasons for it :
Huge recoil (on the order of 7 tonnes of force per shot)
Airframe flexing when the weapon fired
The engine mounting shifted between shots
The airframe just wasn’t structually stiff enough to deal with the recoil forces from the gun firing.
Modern weapons have shorter, stiffer barrels. The yak-9k suffered from barrel whipping (this is a common thing with russian weapons, its the reason they had to weld a metal bar to the ka-52 as the barrel was damaing the fuselage and you can also see it when bmp’s fire their autocannon)
tldr - The weapon should be horrendously inaccurate and is vastly overperforming now.
