IMO the Yak-9 is basicaly a flying Flakpanzer with APHE.
Comparing the 2 simply doesnt work nor does it make sense.

Dawg, This isn’t even a point You understand with the same logic German tanks such as the Panther,Tiger I/II Would have a tranmission that slowly destoys it’s self in battles and the repair time being Double to due to german tanks being a nightmare to repair
It’s more like a flying Lvkv 40 SPAA with a lot less ammo and a little less penetration but the ability to attack super weak top armor, and a lot lower BR.
Which is massive.

Yeah. What I was tryna say was that the YaK-9 isn’t supposed to be this OP. Like then it becomes GOD not realistic. I know, I would complain about the crappy transmission and engine for German Tanks IF THEY ZOOMED INTO BATTLE AT 95 KM/H.

Also, you’ve skipped quite the list of vehicles whom have large caliber APHE guns. The USA has one, and so does Japan, and likely more that I cannot recall as of right yet

The Grizzly is a jack of all trades to be honest. Has 75mm APHE M61, which is rather affective.
It’s twin engine with a very good air defense, and it flies similarly to an AD-4 in my opinion.
E.G : KH38T which isn’t even proven to exist but still ruins toptier anyway
They are not:
- With bombs You are not able to fly as well as without them. Yak doesn’t have that problem.
- Bombs are much harder to drop from large distances while it is easier to aim the 45mm
- Bombs are known for buggy damage model, 45mm is not
And many more. There is no plane in the game that gives You same capabilities with the bombs or other kind of weapons like Yak-9 with 45mm.
And are known for being easy to kill with other air units. It was already discussed in this topic
