Dornier is not comparable to yak38… man this is getting ridiculous.you literally outclimb any 8.7 like 3 times or so and have 4 great missiles but you want it to meet 8.0…
yeah, br decompression is required
Well oviously and with it yak38 and f104 should both go up.
well, facing 8.3 aircraft is unfair but 9.0 and maybe 8.7 should already stand a fair chance
Explein how to dodge R-60s with my Me 262 C-2b
with that one, dodging will be probably near impossible, though, you could try turning off engines for a moment, IR missile will likely lose its track.
after the missile misses, you use boosters to speed up rapidly before engines start up again.
It doesn’t work unlike rocket aircrafts because you still has high temperature in few seconds even you turned off your engine.
Would you touch a pot that is on fire and still very hot with your bare hands because you “turned off the fire”?
This topic is utterly ridiculous and no one will agree except players with massive skill issues just like average ARB players.
If you mean Hunter F.1, it is really fine at its BR since when it was implemented in the game.
Meta was changed but, facing F-84Gs against Hunter F.1 is just bs.
I’ll give my well founded and extensive feedback on this topic.
You’re a fucking moron.
Not to mention we have to move all the 9.0 sabres down too in that scenario.
except these german planes you’re mentioning don’t use missiles. They have to fly decently to kill people with guns. The Yak-38 does not have to dogfight well to launch a frankly undodgable R-60 at some flareless guy’s tail
Yep, I was keep it concise, but there are many jets that face each other, that shouldn’t
still, if yak 38 was in 9.0 it would face me 262 only in full downtiers, the aircraft will still have to face 9.3-10.0 foes against which it can do nohting as long as they are either aware of yak 38 or happen to be flying at an angle high enough for yak to be unable to reliably fire its missile.
sure its unfair for me 262 to face yak 38, but i’d argue they have better chances against it than yak does against F-5C.
yak being on 9.0 means its comparable to something like F-86F-2 or mig-17 and hell if it isnt!
There’s also the issue of skills, because a player who is flying an 8.0 will not likely have much knowledge in how to avoid missiles, especially ones like the R-60.
correct, but such issue could be resolved easily by giving people proper tutorials instead of rearranging battle ratings for skill issue’s sake.
and they’d meet with those aam’s later anyway…
Other 9.3BR jets as well. It is not only Yak-38/38M problems.
What G.91Y/G.91YS can do against tons of F-5C spammers and MiG-21MF/SMT? Nothing…
What Hunter FGA.9 that is really fine at 9.3BR can do against Yak-38? Nothing…
EEL can still go supersonic, but it can do nothing against the F-5s except keep running.
And I have been playing mainly Sabres and MiGs since 2017, including my old PS4 account, but 9.0-8.0 BR games are not that uncommon in the current meta, with F-2 Sabre, CL, MiG-17, F-40 Sabre still overrunning almost all aircraft lower than 9.0BR aircrafts.
How Yak-38/Yak-38M having an “I win” button which is called R-60 to can have the same BR with old top dogs even though all 8.0BR/8.3BR jets and some 8.7BR jets are untouchable against them?
i agree, A-10 also could use a br reduction (i dont even own it btw), but people say its there “because of its preformance”
do you even own yak 38?
i had a case where i shot R-60 to A-4 something (that attacker, you know…), it flared it off, so i had to finish it off with gun but it started to pull hard - i had no choice but fly past it as fast as i could, it fired an AAM towards me which i dodged, but it exploded near me and basically made me a sitting duck for him to finish me off with his guns if he wanted to… another AAM came.
firing any missile to yak is a “i win” button too, it comes with no countermeasures and has a 40 seconds turn.
If i stand near to no chance against AAM why would other players have to?
edit: why flagging? this was an unironic question
The yak38/38m needs to add R60M and the flare pod and upgrade to 9.7, Lowering it to a lower BR will not solve anything
arguably, your solution adds even more issues than mine, but its still more acceptable than what we have now
let me explain myself; putting yak 38 on 9.7 means it will most often face aircraft equipped with flares, thus R-60M isnt as dangerous anymore, but it makes it an even worse menace for uptiered 8.7 aircraft
