Why is the XM1 going up to 9.3 with 292 pen and Russian tanks get to keep better darts at 8.3? It has a worse dart and worse armor than the T series tanks and is going up again in BR? I understand the average russian player is less skilled but even Japan, Italy, and Britain get better darts at 9.3. Cant they just give the XM1 M774?

XM1 (c) is better than the Type 74e at 9.0 in every feasible way except ammunition. It is better than the 9.3 Type 16p in every way except a slightly worse dart and thermal gen

its a dart with strong angle pen at a BR with very little armour at all.
on a tank that comfortably gets to 51mph

Similar as the t-55am at 9.0 with 3bm25 while other 9.0s uses dm23 and dm33.

See the problem with that argument is, the type 16 br is inflated because it has gen 3 thermals, without it the vehicle would be one or two br brackets lower.
The type 74 e, f and g are at this br solely because of the round itself, and the fact the g gets gen 1 thermals, and rubber side skirts. Oh and those are Japanese tanks so they get a Japanese tax.
Also the type 74, unlike the xm1 c, doesn’t have a 50mm frontal weak spot literally anyone can exploit.
Besides thats just objectively wrong.
Almost every 9.0 or 9.3 dart has more flat pen, more 30° pen, and the same or slightly better pen at 60°
The only nation that has a worse dart, is Russian…
apart from the one on like the most comparable tank, the mbt70 which has a worse round than the xm1
the next most comparable tank is like the of-40 mtca which has worse hp/t and doesnt have thermals and could still be 9.7
m735 is plenty to go through weakpoints and side armour, you really dont need more unless you just want to lolpen t72s

Its not, its for the highly mobile, high firepower. Even with gen 1 thermals, would still be the same BR
Extremely mobile, depression, thermals, great long rod shell.
They don’t, its only the short rod 3BM25, slightly better flat pen, but only against RHA. But worse in every other situation, worse angled performance, against composites, spaced armour, worse post-pen damage, and ricochet angles.
If you want it moved up to 9.7+
Give it smoke too and its a good idea
The rounds are just too bad to be in a vic with no armour and no defence

I had a XM1 Chrysler teamate who got a nuke within like 5 min with it couldn’t even get a kill before this guy nuked even some of our team tried to kill bro its honestly kinda OP for people who know how to use it Abrams at 9.0:)
