Yeah, I guess there just holding out till a new Chinese fighter jet for those kind of missles. But tbh I feel like the JH-7A could get PL-8A or even B since it’s already at 11.7 with most likely mid flight prefromance and no radar missles. And ofc only two PL-8’s at that
It might be the inverse, that AIM-9 derivatives have too little drag. It’s always seemed off to me that a canard design stabilized in roll by rollerons and with fairly large control surfaces coasts so well
The AIM-9L range is correct, the Magic missile’s range is incorrect. Simple matter of bug reporting, which has already been done internally I’ve been told. Should be fixed after December update I hope.
Guess I just generally underestimate how well dogfight missiles coast, ty for the correction. R-60’s kinematics have poisoned my brain lol
R-60 is very unique, small, short, and lightweight… drag has more effect on it. Longer and heavier missiles are less effected by loss of speed when coasting it seems.
Welll unfortunately it seems jh7a is going to be a lukewarm addition in both air and ground role with major munitions missing. Typical Chinese strike aircraft in wt. f16 meanwhile outperforms jh7a in BOTH AIR AND GROUND. Is pl8a or pl5e too much to ask for
Yeah, nowadays the R-60 feels like a falling leaf once the rocket motor is gone. Oh well, atleast it’s not an SRAAM, and atleast I don’t have too deal with either anymore now that I’m grinding China
Hopefully it’s one of those vehicles we’re it gets continuously buffed over time, as it has a lot of potential, and I’m still holding out hope that maybe the Kh-29 can make it into the loadouts sooner than later…
Is there issue link about Magic range
Smin1080p replied PL5-C is all respect seeker
my blood is already boiling knowing how the KD-88 and/or KH-29Ts are not making it into the game, idk why GJ does not add them despite multiple sources around the internet stating that it is indeed capable of fielding such missiles. Do they really need an official flight manual or any other extremely hard to obtain documents? Are they willing to risk another REDACTED leak?
I am a bit mad that the issue The difference between JH7A’s LS & GB series laser guided bomb got rejected. I guess we need better sources.
Does anyone have a copy of the “Manuals of Defense Products”, the one that covers this photo?
Worst case scenario, we would have to wait a whole year and let someone go visit the Zhuhai Airshow in 2024 to get another manual.
Sadly, I could find nothing more than this page from the web. But since GJ made the TG250/GB250 from the same series, I guess they have their own source? Just praying that they get the 1000kg bomb right.
IMHO I guess adding KH29T and TS250/TG250 is still not out of the question. However I am not holding my breath on anything else that requires new modelling e.g. KD-88, GB series bombs
The manual is just this, there is an additional page but it is the same thing without visuals and translated into English. I could dig it up again if you REALLY wanted it, but it won’t help us IMO.
They have to had rejected the bug report based off naming differences Gaijin uses. The GB-250 is already in game on the Q-5L, but they called it TS-250. Although I guess the most correct name would be TG-250.
Welp, in 12.5 hours we get to find out whatever they have made of the JH-7A
We will maybe get good payloads only after ussr and usa get something similar. That and a brave chinese dude willing to risk death trying to find documents to gaijins liking
What are the engine specs?
Copypaste SPEY 202, I guess
Well I guess we’ll see what the elusive LS1000J really is tomorrow 07
