WW1 event props POLL

so a while ago we got the FOKKER DVII and SPAD as fighters for the event on which i
think is ludicrous we got the HP.12 as a tech tree plane which was only cause it had bombs why not just give everyone the option if they want to get the fighters too as even if they are bad why cant we have the option to get them

they could be added into the tree same way of how the FCM.36 is once you unlock a certain rank you recieve them this could be a way of introducing WW1 props to the game

if you picked other you can explain why down here

Keeping the fighters purely for Aces of Thunder feels like a massive waste. We’ve seen that they can work so it seems bad to let them rot in Aces of Thunder which may or may not be coming out at this rate with how little we hear about it now. All of that “you will get to play these aircraft in Aces of Thunder soon” is looking like more of a delusion than anything.

Atleast if they are in War Thunder we could open the door to more WW1 content but chances they won’t sadly.

after flying them in the event they had very good low speed handling

if we get enough votes maybe they will as i dont see this “aces of thunder” getting anywhere near the level of popularity of warthunder or DCS

Based on what sim CCs report in Aces of Thunder, maybe the flight models are too simplified for Warthunder’s own standards of quality? Captain Squishface says that planes in Aces of Thunder do not experience left turning tendencies and wingstalls behave in an on-rails manner compared to Warthunder’s surprisingly robust modelling.

(in warthunder without instructor and autotrim, we have torque-induced left turning tendencies (manipulating immediately corresponds to yawing moment), we have gyroscopic precession (sudden pitching motion induces yaw), we have what might pass for P-factor (propeller AOA-induced yaw) and indicated airspeed seems to affect impact of left-turning tendencies (slipstream effect or rudder effectiveness idk).

(in warthunder, wingstalls correlate with yaw with both skids and slips and the ability to be in a stable left turn and then spinning out just because you increased engine power which yanked your nose to the left without compensating with rudder and created a skid. Try it with 109K4. It’s fun)

So maybe they skipped them for Warthunder because their flight models aren’t WT compatible?

Need to add those big Airship too.

They could just be using more simplified flight models. We seen during the event that they can fly and worked reasonably well (instructor was a bit wonky but most likely just not finished it since they were just for the event). From what I seen of the AoT gameplay it looks like it’s using Arcade flight models so it could just be that.
