Most people manage ok when it comes to online shopping.They get access to Amazon OK or is that just a white western philosophy ? Would it destroy the game in India, parts of South America or China? or am I just being unintentionally ignorant there and they all have modern means of payment?

We simply live in a world where everybody it seems does not need cash anymore.Why would Warthumder fail when Netflix or Amazon prime are huge?

If you think xbox live meant internet it didn’t xbox just has a few games THAT HAVE TO BE F2P that qualify to be able to operate multiplayer without xbox live

Honestly if you told me I could have paid 30 dollars, and have a game that is still playable after playing it for 7 years, yeah that would be worth it

I have never had X box live and I buy games online and I buy DLC for paid games occasionally . Its only a means of payment I need and I have Paypal anyway for other things.The only thing is is that to survive Gaijin would be forced to treat people better and make sure the game is worth playing.

I guess what you want to say is that In order to play a paying online game then you need Game pass? Where as a Free game avoids this for console? Is this what you mean?
I once made a post asking for opinions to turn Warthunder into hybrid model where premium is much more impactful while F2P remains.
Idea was that premium account would unlock everything in game as long as you have premium account but it would be kind of like rental (excluding premium vehicles so only TT vehicles). Vehicles are unlocked and spaded but you also grind them in the background (as if having premium right now). So those who can afford premium can play what they want in any tree they want while at the same time they grind so once premium expires vehicles they unlocked/spaded are there.
This was instantly shot down by arguments that “I like grind” and “It gives me satisfaction to unlock stuff”

The player base can be their own worse enemy or should I say the big enemy of one player is likely to be another player.Also the deeper I dig the more I see it from Gaijins perspective.

We also see the self proclaimed mega fans all over this forum who then say they will never pay a dime for the game and never have but want to have a say in how the game is run at every opportunity.
I have sympathy for Gaijin after talking to much of the fanbase then they blow that sympathy with a stupid decision like Auction.
Actually auction could work if they just ran it properly but like all things Gaijin they just have to f*** it up :)

Horrible idea. I’ve been playing for 7 years and you just want to… strip myself from playing? I am not paying for a subscription because my only way of buying stuff online is through gift cards, I am NOT doing that every year just to play an unfun game.
