My friends and I, eager to guess what will come in the next updates, thought that we are reaching the pinnacle of aircraft technology. Well, that’s what I think, but what we were wondering was, could Gaijin really implement fifth-generation fighters like the F-22, Su-57, and J-20 Chengdu in the game so early on? Could this perhaps cause an imbalance for other nations? Would the F-35 be an endgame option for other nations? To be honest, I’m a little worried about the future of War Thunder.
new weaponry (IRIS+METEOR) on aircraft like the Eurofighter would make them at least as strong as an F-22

It’s certainly possible, but I mean, could new weapons like the AIM-120 AMRAAM ER, which is already in the game, be implemented on fighter jets? In my opinion, the only fighter jet in the game that’s most feared is the Rafale. I’ve seen things that the Mica does that scare me most of the time.
The AMRAAM-ER isn’t used on fighter jets.

Thank you for the information.
Instead of focusing on useless things like these, you should put pressure on Gaijin to actually fix the damn game. Nobody needs an F-22, the Su-57 is at most going to be a Flanker but with better FM. What we have is enough. What we don’t have: a better anticheat (congrats Gaijin, you were so proud of yourself in solving nothing), better engine such that it won’t completely crash your computer when it feels like it.

There’s no need to get upset, I just shared a thought with you all, and yes, I know that War Thunder really needs to improve in many other aspects of the game, and as I said in the text above, wouldn’t it be too early? I’ve heard several mentions of fifth-generation fighter jets for this year, 2026.

imo PL-15 due to its dual stage motor, the second motor activates when it homes in on targets iirc
