Wishlist for Germany (WIP)

No, i mean the origin of the modification.

as far as the poster has said and what ive gathered from around the web, originally they were a last ditch effort to counter the soviet 122 by the germans.

So the F-5A, which is currently sitting in the USA tree and not dispersed across the nations that bought them while (not) being omitted from said USA tree because they never actually used it, on top of being a private venture from Northrop.

I think there’s a difference to be stated between general export and specified export.

A general export product such as the F-5, was created for any paying customer (or in this case those who were allied with the U.S.), and would eventually go on to serve in multiple different nations despite many of the customers receiving the plane in a completely basic configuration. Here, we can say that the F-5A in the U.S. tree is representative of all total F-5A exports, as there is not just one nation to choose. More specifically even, you could say that the U.S. plane represents the finalized model that was tested by Northrop Grumman before export, so the vehicle is absolutely real in that sense.

A specified export would be any vehicle designed with intentions for sale to one or two specific foreign nations, such as the M1A2T, which has some light differences in order to fullfill Taiwanese requirements. Of course there are cases where specified export vehicles end up in the hands of new nations through capture, trade, etc. but it can always be true that the modifications on it were designed for one nation only, thus making it “their” version.

Of course, there are general export products such as the Stingray light tank which were advertised to a broad spectrum of countries but only ended up in one of them, which I think would be fair grounds to call that tank “their own”, as the product is way too dated to see any future customers.

I used a couple American examples here but the principles can be applied to exports of any country, Germany included.

IMO irrelevant. F-5A was built to be exported, with its intended target being not-the-US, out of a competition specifically to provide a new export fighter to allied nations.

If it ever comes to a Thailand subtree it should also go to the USA ground tree. It’s too cool to miss and I’m kinda tired of having seemingly arbitrary rules as to what nation gets which vehicles. USA just got the Skink despite not being involved with it in almost any way, while Germany making the KF41 is not good enough for it to be added.

I mean to each their own, I would just rather not see the same exact plane plastered around to represent all the nations that had it in real life, as even though it is historically accurate, it does numb the playstyle a bit if it becomes a very common enemy. I will admit i’m not really a plane person, but it’s obvious that there are plenty of unique foreign modifications that would work to represent their nations much better than an icon next to the vehicle name could.

I wouldn’t be opposed, but I think that it would be far more symbolic if the vehicle was only present at the end of a Thai subtree, meanwhile the U.S. will finally get some of their many, many other light tank prototypes they so deserve. I mean, I find it hard to understand how an exclusive Thai Stingray would be an issue if the U.S. got one that is objectively better in every way.

Fair enough. The KF41 is a general export product so by my personal ruling I have no problem with Germany getting one, alongside the KF41 (2018) and KF31.

Higher BR would potentially exclude it from a lineup. Plus I don’t see why they can’t get both, Stingray I & II would be a great folder.

Also i feel like it’s worth mentioning that Japan doesn’t get its Ki-43-III Ko either, that specific model is only available in China as a captured plane.

Ah, yes, of course.

Germany made under RBSL LEP program Black Night and 3TD, both in British TT.

But same case cheli 130 for some reason is should be in Germany TT))))

Wrong

  • Made by Rheinmetall, not RBSL
  • Not part of LEP

But access to hull they have through RBSL.

No RBSL, No hull, no chally 130

Goes both ways,
No Germany, no access to a uparmoured jagdpanther :)

i only interested in chally 130

I think I’d rather let the Stingray I stay exclusive to Thailand, as giving it to the U.S. would substantially reduce the significance of seeing one in battle. Like I said, there are plenty other light tanks that could fit in at American top tier, so a replacement shouldn’t be too hard to find.

And +1 for Ki-43-III Ko, it seems odd to create a new vehicle for a foreign nation that the producer doesn’t even have.

I wish for them to finally fix the Puma tracks blowing off when ammo is hit.
I wish for Spikes/PARS to be fixed.
I wish for a new AA that can reliably counter AGMs.
I wish for a new helicopter, one with reliable AAMs/AGMs and a nose turret.
I wish for KH29Ts to be removed from the game.

Yeah, just used it again on the 10.3 puma, just using dart is still better, unless you’re shooting drones.
There’s a report in for more fragments, but the real issue is that the fuze doesn’t work properly, so it doesn’t work when a target is going away from you

Plus the fragments don’t go nearly as far and despawn too soon

I make report myself. But after 7 month no reaction, except “accepted” from Smin

my apologies, I wish for KH-39MT to be removed from the game.

mistook the 29s for the 39s on the Su-34
