Will there be ANYTHING done to combat people crashing and having no rewards

So many times I’ve faced people that crash during a dogfight or while trying to multipath, wasting my time and giving me zero rewards nor kill credit. Same in Air RB.

I think kill credit should go towards whoever is closest, like when you J out without taking any damage. Or kill credit should go towards whoever fired a missile that is closest to reaching the enemy.

Assuming you re talking mainly about sim, you know that a lot of ARB player try sim because they are tired of ARB and so they dont really know how to fly perfectly right ? On top of that, no one is perfect and everyone make mistake that make them crash.

“Wasting my time” a sim match is 3 hours if you “waste” 3min of your time its not a big deal. Also even if you get no credit or anything you still get the experience of what you did.

No. fox3 spam is already a problem even in sim, so making this thing a reality will encourage players to spam even more, also i dont get why you should have credits for something you didnt killed.

You have 15 minutes to earn score. If you do t you receive 0 sl but still paid spawn cost. If you get score at 15.01 minutes and die at 15.05 minutes you get like 60 sl/rp.

Considering that after rank III and most of rank IV spawn costs are 12-17K, and income is like 15-25k eithout premium on a perfect 1050 score play where you land… you need as much income as possible to offset spawn costs.

My fav example: ho229 costs 17.3k to spawn. Perfect play rewards 19.8k not landing only gives like 15.4k.

Anyway.

Id love proximity kills as it would encourage doing stupid hail mary menuvers without feeling bad about them. Stuff like trying to do a low alt snap roll (as in: stick forward, hard left rudder and stick in 7 o clock position with a violent movement) to get away from a zero or spitfire where mistake means eating a tree. I wanna try that because itd look cool af but i dont want to deny kills.

I think it’s frustrating for both parties.
More times than I care to admit I’ve flown into the ground while trying to multi-path or dogfight cause I’ve been looking behind me or something, and it’s rubbish cause if I know I’m losing the fight and I crash I’d have no issue with giving them a reward, but if I feel like I’m still in the fight then it seems unworthy. Then on top of that you have to wait like up to 8 minutes to play again which is a ball ache when you’re time limited and just want to play something specific (One of my most hated mechanics in WT)

Other the other hand it’s also a cop out when you’re going for a kill and they throw themselves into the ground. It’s unsportsmanlike, but how do you determine the difference between them doing it on purpose or it being a genuine mistake.

It’s a difficult one to balance, I think maybe if

  • You have / had radar lock and / or Heat tone on someone in the past X seconds
  • Are within a certain distance
  • Have either the ability to or have already fired on them (ie you have at least 1 missile still and you’re not just locking them with no ability to fire on them)

You could be rewarded with like 1/3rd of a kill’s worth of SL & RP. Maybe call it a “Pressure” reward or “Manoeuvre Kill”

Personally, it can be annoying especially in a dogfight when you know youve won and they just dive bomb the ground to make sure you dont get the kill, but there are so many other more prevelant issues in war thunder that need addressed than this and need fixed that this most likely wouldnt be addressed for a good while.
