I have a question, I always wanted to have the T84 Oplot and the T72B3 in my collection because they are my favorite tanks but I didn’t want to level up Japan, the question is: will the T84 Oplot arrive in the Russian line? Because Ukraine was one of the Soviet nations, and I didn’t want to grind two nations at the same time because I also like the T72B3, T80BVM and T90M. Will I be lucky if it comes to Russia?
It shouldnt. Unless gaijin does huge mistake lmao
Probably down the line at some point, I say this because BVV_d expressed the possibility of it indirectly last dev stream.
WAS
Ukraine is off the table probly at least a few years after the u know what end and even then it would still be controversial. Way too high heat for Gaijin to do anything, Crimea was the reason for Gaijin removing team killing in GRB in the first place.
the tech tree in the game:
USSR = Union of Soviet Socialist Republics
USSR =/= Russia
iam not saying that it would be a good idea to add the oplot to the soviet tree, but it wouldnt be unjustified
He dismissed Oplot entirely for USSR last dev stream.
So for me to have the t72b3 and the t84 oplot I will have to pay 250 reais in the promotion, being that a Brazilian’s minimum wage is 1400 reais, even though I earn more I don’t think it’s fair to know that someone could be going hungry and I’m spending the price of 30 kg of high quality meat on a game! = t80ud and type 90b
It was dismissed to be believed that the T-84 was not in service with Ukranian Army, as they had sold most of it to the thai army, and only 6 were left if ever operational.
The thing with Ukrainian vehicles and the sub tree is not the Ukrainian™ vehicles, they are mostly T-64 clones and will be going to the T-64 tree of course
The thing is “Ukrainian” vehicles
Which is complete nonsense, I suppose the Chinese are the only ones allowed to get the stuff they export and don’t service, so I personally don’t expect it to hold up and they will end up adding it anyway.
It will depend wether Gaijin identify the line as “USSR” or “Russia”
In my opinion no: not because I don’t support a Soviet Republic to be represented in USSR tech tree but rather: does USSR needs it? For about a year or more I’ve been wanting more and proper light tank line for USSR, which is poorly represented and if you take a deep look it’s a mess: tank destroyers in light tanks’ line, light tanks in tank destroyers’ line. T-84 Oplot-BM and its variations should be added to the game and I’m more supportive for a more realistic approach rather than a standalone tech tree to justify one or a fewer handful of unique vehicles. We’ll see how Gaijin treat the new United Korea tech tree and if the recipe has changed or still the same-same since Israel.
So is Russia, so is Belarus, so is Kazakhstan, but why do people support these when comes to a USSR sub-tech tree but not the best one that could add a lot of good new content to the tech tree, at this point why not a Separated Russian Ground Forces tech tree suggestion? This isn’t a political opinion game, War Thunder has nothing to do with politics, the idea of an separated Ukrainian tech tree in the paper is nice but I believe most of its supporters are only ‘truly’ supporting it because of political reasons, nothing to do for the best of the game, or maybe these same people don’t have an political opinion but just want to pay up to $80,00 to play sovietic derivative vehicles again in another tech tree.
Doubtful
the only way I see another Oplot added to the game is through a Warsaw pact/Yugoslav/ex-soviet state tree or smthin
They can do that, because the tech tree in game names"USSR", which means if a country was once a part of USSR, their vehicles cam be added to USSR tech tree
I completely agree, there are African players complaining because their nation is a sub-nation in Great Britain, while more important things like adding Middle Eastern nations to Israel and creating a South American nation are more important! At least Gaijin took a step by uniting Korea. The truth is that if the game becomes a political issue, it will happen that Gaijin will nerf NATO vehicles more lol. The guys want to create technology trees that are not necessary lol.
because ukraine has TERRIBLE relations with modern russia and despises their soviet legacy? this addition would cause incredible public image damage for WT
A. USSR/Russia absolutely do not need it
B. This would kick up more of a fuss than anything to do with the VT-4 or M1A2T
As for OP. People need to advocate for no tech trees. Let players grind whatever they want from any nation and add historical/semi historical battles where certain lineups can be allowed. Ground rb is already mixed battles with all the C&p and meta baiting
While that would be the best out come, people would only need to buy 1 premium to grind ground/ 1 for air/ naval/ helis… I dont see it happening
