it haves Captor-M which is an AMAZING radar in real life but somehow in-game its even compared to the mig-23 in performance.
Rafale had several buffs (which in a way is almost similar to the eurofighter) and the typhoon still is the same thing since DAY 1, will it be fixed any time soon? since currently only the 9M are even worth using since AMRAAMS are helpless without a radar that actually can maintain lock without losing track the moment an enemy slightly notches you.
It is an excellent question. But god knows if/when we’ll see CAPTOR-M added to the game. Currently its just Blue Vixen with a few tweaked stats
at least it should have the Rafale’s radar if they dont want to model the CAPTOR-M because as we speak this thing is absolutely horrible and makes the MIG-29SMT look like a beast in BVR
its currently just a blue vixen but somehow worse. i doubt they will change it, it appears in the British tree so must stay bad
an official suggestion has been submitted to replace the CAPTOR-M with CAPTOR-E, but there is certainly no need to just C&P the Rafales radar over to it. Though some of the features like Priority track could be implemented in about 5 minutes by C&Ping over some of the AESA code to the CAPTOR-M
I hope they fix it so that German mains can be quiet for once. Atleast British mains have the excuse of having overtiered and/or poorly modelled planes, but there’s so little of that above rank IV in Germany.
i certainly dont care what excuses gaijin will try to tell us since we have F-15’s and F/A-18 which they have their radars well modeled since DAY ONE, at this point they’re just purposefully making the typhoon perform awful so they dont become meta.

funny enough the arch phantom’s radar is 10x better than whatever they did with CAPTOR-M but sadly THAT radar is on an awful flying model for 13.0
Gaijin doesn’t even bother fixing anything anymore, they just sell you vehicles that are already in the game as if they were new and exclusive, a clear example being the M47 and the SBD from the battle pass + the “”“new”“” Meteor. They don’t fix anything unless someone important reports the bug.

A little exagerated but still works as a comparation on how gimped it is, barely can keep a lock in PD mode and you have to spam the radar lock with HMD EVEN when the target is going towards you.
Also the AMRAAMS goes anywhere BUT the target since somehow the DATALINK completly stops working at random intervals.
I’ve seen people describe it as barely an upgrade over the Su-27s radar, which is by far the weakest radar anywhere near top tier. So whilst the Mig-23 is an exageration, CAPTOR-M is almost certianly not in a healthy state,
