yea the F15C GE is so close to being good and 14.7 worthy, it just lack engine power and CAS munitions. F15EX would fit perfectly as US’s 14.7 and I am still waiting for it, gotta say i am disapointed to see a random ass F16 coming this update instead of F15EX

true that if the aim120D was coming with actual range and lethality improvements i would say put it as 14.7 but alas its another copypaste

The AIM-120D that has actual range improvements is the D-3, which gets a longer burning motor. The one they’re adding is the D-1 which is a C-7 (C-5) with GNSS and a “better” seeker.
12 really good missiles is pretty much the only thing the su30sm has just because it has that 1 advantage however doesn’t mean we ignore all its disadvantages, the EURO AESA has every other advantage imaginable over the base SM making it a better plane over all
They’re saving the EX to add together with the SU-35.
The funny thing is that, the SU-30SM2 is quite literally a carbon copy of how the SU-35 will perform in game.

Same Missile kit ect.

12 Really good missiles is the only thing it needs to be better than the AESA EFT’s.
Flight performance doesn’t matter much in top tier ARB. What matters is close range combat capability (which the SM does better due to 77-1).
You can disagree with me if you personally like the EFT’s more than the SU-30’s, but the facts remain.
i mean, it’s still in developement, it will probably change somehow in the future when it gets added.
however, AMRAAMs are no longer good missiles, meta is R-77-1 and MICA-EM (and high amounts of missiles, too), if Gaijin would have fixed all missiles ingame, they would have been way too OP nowdays.
it actually matters since flight performance is what determinates if u’re going to notch a missile in ur elegant silk-made plane or just fly straight in a flying brick like a Tornado.
If it mattered then the Mech EFT would be better than the F-15C GE for ARB, but it isn’t since missile count is more important.
Mind you, you guys are defending 8 AIM-120’s against 12 R-77-1’s.
so u’re telling me u just fly straight for 5mins, launch 12 ARH missiles and then die while praying 1 of ur missiles hit?
tell me how many times have u seen an enemy aircraft using it’s valuable long-range FnF missiles for destroying a missile it could literally just dodge by learning how tf notch.

I think you’ve misunderstood what i’ve said lol. Im saying that 8 AIM-120’s on a EFT is worse than 12 R-77-1’s on an SU-30SM. Please properly read and have context instead of just diving randomly into conversations.
that’s pretty much obvious, but it isn’t a problem of missiles amount, but the missile itself being completely inferior compared to the R-77-1.

cause i value r-77-1s a lot over the amraams.
I’d rather have the bad fm with good missiles than good fm with mid missiles
fa18e is more maneuverable than f-15c ge which makes it good for notch fighting

cause both can do the funny stay in the notch while shooting missiles, and mica can just turn in at almost any distance and nuke everything while rafale still has one of best fm just behind euro

with the irst, you can launch micas from track mem. Its just slightly harder than the su-30sm2 with notch fighting.
it’s more systems management yes compared to sm2, but with the rafale being an absolutel rocket ship that can get into notch super easily, it’s still the best plane in da game imo
