This must be in response to lack of improved HOBS capability noted in documents. As stated by many, this wasn’t an aerodynamic improvement, but a programming and fin AoA improvement. Glad they acknowledged someone was right about it after the bug reporting managers ruthlessly deny everything because they don’t like it.
I’m not sure if they adjusted the fin AoA or if it was just a autopilot change, but if fin AoA and surface areas remain the same, there is still an improvement needed.

yep, i was gonna say this is still not enough. to be fixed it needs to be better them the 120C at the minimum, if not better then the 120A since the 120C should already turn better then the 120A

Mechanically, if the missile turn worse (assuming similar acceleration and no TVC), it will always perform worse at close range.
But I do agree that the fact that BVR is basically negated by how easy it is to notch and multipath missiles is the issue. Changing that would massively benefit the AMRAAM, but also the R-77-1, where I think the SM2 is already kind off a pain, having so much of these great missiles and spawning faster than anyone else so they can be higher faster than everyone
the R-77-1 can stay untouched, its the best ARH in the game for every single situation. all that needs to happen is the AMRAAM needs to be reverted to its pre- fin AOA nerf state and it would be fixed.

Maybe F-15C GE is the only one that can claw its way into meta, but you don’t need to be meta to do well.
Su-30MKM, Su-30SM, F-18E, J-10C are non-meta aircraft.
They don’t have the aircraft factors that are needed for a meta jet.
Best in radar, acceleration, top speed, and staying power [countermeasures].
And if all your posts have is insulting and statshaming others… that speaks for itself.
Saying F-18E > ANY 14.3/14.7 is kinda insane.
By the way, Su-30SM/MKM are very much meta planes. 12 R-77-1 with a still very good radar and AIR RB flight model.

Rafale doesn’t have the radar capability or missile number to be put above the SU’s. MICA’s by themselves ARE better than R-77-1’s, but the fact that the SU’s carry 50% more of them (while also having 2 R-73’s) just makes it a no contest.
Also, the R-27ER combined with the SM2 is the best ARB missile rn lol.

This makes absolutely no sense. You’re putting SM2 at number 1 but putting the normal SM below an AESA EFT??? and also making it “equal” to the F-15C GE when its performance is not even near comparable.
The differences between the SM2 and SM aren’t as big as everyone believes (other than the radar).
yes the Base SMs radar is nowhere near as good as the SM2 or Euro AESA its also significantly slower than both, even the F-15GE has a better radar along with better FP than the base SM
AESA EFT’s radars are better but the fact that they carry 8 AIM-120’s vs 12 R-77-1’s puts them below the SU-30.
It IS slower than both, but its still a very fast plane, kind of irrelevant for ARB since youre usually never gonna be above mach 1.3/1.4 unless its early game in which the SM will still be able to hold its own.
F-15C GE does technically have a “better” radar but the differences are indistinguishable.
Also lastly, the GE does not have a better flight model for AIR RB. That is just flat out wrong.
