You are reading into this too much the Panther 2 wasn’t that popular of a removal. Not is the removal of the R2Y2 profitable ( I suppose if it was made premium or some other way it would be)
Functioning prototypes that existed and as long as they are implemented in the same functional configuration are fair game. Their addition is a different conversation.
The R2Y2 is not this.
As for your second point you can check the F-16AJ dev blog or the countless responses by Smin to this. It probably will face the same fate as the R2Y2 soon.
The Thai sub trees f84 is the stated replacement. Yes it’s not domestic.
They already released the Thai Sub tree that is the whole reason Gaijin said they can now remove the R2Y2.

Since R2Y2 is being removed due to realism, I can’t wait for them to improve the realism. German and Japanese planes will be grounded due to lack of fuel and pilots. German gearboxes will fall apart, British tanks will have to take a tea break. Soviet aircraft from throughout World War II will have logistical problems, for example there will be no bullets, spare parts or fuel. Japanese planes will have a huge problem with electronics. And many other realistic things.

8.0 makes it not worth to play, that’s why people always ignore R2Y2 until Gaijin wants to delete them, if it can back to 7.7-7.3, we will see how many players realized how important this plane is

Ki-61 from the beginning until the creation of Ki-100 had huge problems with engines. In the game it could look like you won’t start because the engine doesn’t work or the engine turns off while in the air

R2Y2s should’ve never been added to begin with, and delisting them instead of outright removing them is a pro-player stance.
I’ve been demanding they add F-84G, Kawasaki P-1, etc and remove the R2Y2s for over a year at this point; I criticized Gaijin, and now they’ve answered the critique, they listened.
Gaijin has replaced the R2Y2s with an F-84G, so stop having posts of lies.
They told us the real reason: The R2Y2s are fake and are to be delisted. They’ve said this countless times.

Sweden in WW2 is fake.The Maus rolling over bridges is fake.Cold war tanks facing WW2 in many cases is fake.Modern MBTs on WW2 maps is fake,Five nations fighting each other in one air battle is fake. So much of this game is just Historical gibberish .I have been told by the game and the fan base that I must forget about historical line ups ,era separation and any notion of WW2 so I have and now this lunacy comes about.
So what is to replace them? Some debatable history and extremely tenuous link resulting in more copy paste?
This is a silly game where all you do is take a zone as an excuse to shoot at each other,it makes no attempt to be historical or factual. Sweden vs Germany in WW2 vehicles fighting in a mid west town in the 60s? WTF?

Good thing we’re not playing a WW2 reenactment game.
We’re playing a war games simulator; and if you want to know more about war games use the search term “NATO war games” or similar.
IRL war games are even rather unbalanced where sometimes there are T-34s vs Abrams.

Having been a real war and simulations I can assure we are not old pal…well new pal now we agree so much : )
Any semblance of history stops when the game starts so who really cares if we meet a Panther 2 or R2Y2. Nobody ever put a 155mm Long Tom on a highly mobile moving platform during WW2 or even Korea but there it is slaying German Tanks at 4BR in true Sci fi fashion…an alternative history not a real one and we all have to just suck it up.

I haven’t seen your posts mention ASU-57, R3 T20, M51, Concept 3…
And of course your post-war F-4U-4B VMF-214.
That’s just in your top 16 played vehicles with Germany excluded.
Oh, Sherman I Composito being post-war as well.
There is more in life than wanting… ASU-57 face T-64s, or F-4U-4B face F-84Fs.
And if you really do want that then custom battles + the discords that create historical reenactments exist.

The r2y2 removal is completely different as the thing never existed (at least the in game configuration) in real life. This is the standard that vehicles are typically held too but idk lets just twist it into some historical thing and complain about all these non issues that aren’t related.

WarThunder state Today, we’d like to give you a heads up regarding the removal of the R2Y2 V1, V2 and V3 for research so that you can get them before they’re gone.
So they are so game breaking they have not only had them in the line up for years but are not even removing them immediately,almost encouraging people to grind them while they can.
So much of War Thunder never existed as I said and we play a fictional game ,yes the actual game ,you know the bit that isn’t Auctions,Chests,Hard sell ,and the need to go to such great lengths to recreate historical vehicles in a game that isn’t historical.
Its a paper game to be honest so who cares?
