Now that they’ve upgraded to the Su-7 BKL, it’s no longer practical. It’s very fast, but it has no countermeasures against radar missiles, and it’s not very maneuverable either. In version 9.0 it was fine; its speed was its only defense, and it felt balanced against heat-seeking missiles.

It is 9.3 because it was the best 9.0, and very OP there.

any su7 at 9.0 literally kick the shit in most subsonic planes around the br if you play it well, 9.0 also gets quite a decent amount of downtiers the su7 can literally run loops on the early jet fighters. its relatively manoeuvrable for its size its fast it have crazy energy generation for its br the guns are absolutely amazing. Realistically you will not need chaff for radar missiles in that br range in most cases either way. it was just too op at 9.0

Literally the only thing I disagree with. The guns are awful. Second worst only beaten by the Mk 108s

how are they second worst? i never had issues with their damage the velocity is amazing and its very accurate, definitely my fav cannon for jet combat
Focus on bombing, mate. I grinded 6 planes just by bombing 2 bases at 9.3. Do not dogfight just keep running around and keep your speed up and pray when you see a aircraft that can carry 20G+ missile.

Yes it’s fast, it’s stupid fast. WAY faster than the fighter commonly found around the BR. Very few aircraft can catch up to it on the deck, namely the F104, F106, Lightening, and other fast interceptor I couldn’t think of at the moment.
if u think thats bad u gotta go try the B66 lol, wayyyyyyy slower, cant even dodge aim9b, and tail radar doesnt even work. Su7 and B66 being on the same BR is laughable. B66 is straight up trash but thats another issue

Yeah but the radar missile is insanely effective because people don’t expect a radar missile at those BRs.

You should try radar jousting with mig21 and their R3Rs at 10km where they think they can easily dodge your R530 and still die to it. It’s so funny when you barely manoeuvre to avoid the R3R while your missile just annihilates them.
It’s simply becasue it makes players research too fast, so there will be less people buying the premium planes. The SU7B itself, with a win rate of 47%, 0.45 KD, and 0.36 KR, is not destroying the Air RB evironment (like SU30s) at all. And the same goes to f104c. It’s just indentical to f104a but with napalm bomb and two extra aim9Bs, and nobody cares about aim9Bs at this BR. I don’t even bring them most of the time.
