Why no Su27S flanker at 13.0 yet?

If you have an IRST, yes it’s good.

No, you won’t answer it. Because it’s true. But hey, continue to be wrong, it’s alright with me.

No correlation to the R73… at all…

You are rarely correct.

Ironic coming from you.

Since you don’t know. The R-73 can take data from the irst to guide it better against flares, and guides it for off bore shots.

No, it doesn’t work after launch.

Just because you say something is ironic, or imply I’m wrong a lot, doesn’t mean it’s true.

No, it can’t. It has no datalink.

Look it up if you don’t believe me.

Sure!

See how datalink is listed for SARH missiles?

image

See how it isn’t even an option for IR missiles?

See how the R-77-1 has datalink listed under guidance?

See how the R-73 doesn’t?

I think he’s talking about radar/irst slaving lobl, ofc not loal

Your wording is very bad. What you’re talking about is slaving the R-73 with radar/IRST.

Like you said, it’s good against preflaring, since you can’t flare the radar and IRST has much better flare resistance than any IR missile.

You don’t get any assistance after launch and you don’t need it. R-73’s FOV clamps down immediately after launch. It’s harder to flare at close range because of how geometry works.

All MiG-29s and all Flankers have IRST. Planes without it can still use the radar to slave it.

If you slave it with the radar, you want to wait before firing, firing immediately after locking is predictable. Let the enemy get used to the RWR lock warning, it won’t give him a launch warning.

It’s similar with IRST tbh, don’t fire immediately when you get the angle, be unpredictable.

Preflaring is effective against any IR missile, so all of them benefit from slaving.

Slaving doesnt give a missile better data, it simply tells it where to look.

I think that we need to stop thinking in terms of br and start thinking about weapons capability. I think that we should have an semi active tier from 12.3- 13.0 as a permanent bracket. We should allow certain aim 120 slingers in this bracket if they have flight models that wouldn’t servive high tier. These aim 120 slingers would be the harrier 2, f4 Ice and kfr c10.

Fighting in the 12.0 - 12.7 Br bracket is demoralizing for anyone at the bottom of the tier. Especially when IRCCM missiles are in this bracket. This Br rotation is completely useless at the current time.

The best answer to correct this problem is to create a permanent Br bracket from 12.7 - 13.0. This would force period appropriate fighters to face each other. Players on the red side would access to semi active missiles and would face vehicles with semi active missiles most of the time. The best way to balance the F15A, F16ADF, JAS39A, and F14 B is to bring the first generation SU27/J11 and SU 33 down to 13.0. This would also provide an intermediate tier for players to get used to IRCCM missiles and evading semi active missiles.

The 13.3 -14.0 should be a permanent Br Bracket to allow planes with fully active missiles to face each other.

They should just decompress instead so that certain planes aren’t made useless by sitting at the bottom of these “permanent BRs”

Not useless. They should be placed in a permanent bracket where they are competitive. The game shouldn’t allow 12.3 to puch down to 11.3. A mirage 2000 s4/5 should never fight the f5.

Yes, useless. There is zero point, read: zero point, in playing a plane that is just strictly worse than its opponents, always, 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Drop this idea and advocate for simple decompression please.

Like what?

F-16AJ, entirely made useless under your suggestion, 1 example.

How? Does it have sparrows?

Yes, it has sparrows.

So what’s the problem? When the f16 A mlu was 13.0 with sparrows, i had 30 kill games on red side.
