well since you or siberian seem to want to flag my posts for spam, i wont bother.
i didnt, i just see that as you using it as an excuse then because you cant proof it
uh sure, whatever.
I thought you meant this including SepV2 model
no wonder you are privated then, seems like you are quite easily made mad when your mistakes and problems are pointed out
well the APS modules clearly werent modelled he was lying either way.
only the “insert” places, which he dont wanna prove to us apparantly either because he got “scared” off because a random flagged him
maybe he has some knowledge regarding these two pieces on Stryker’s hull he showed, but I can’t find anything regarding Strykers using Trophy APS, only some text about Iron Curtain in wiki. But how is Stryker’s model related to Abrams lacking Trophy - no idea. It’s an obvious offtop
Not sure how old some of you are but the first system the Stryker had utilized those modules, they were even put into MW2 in the mission where you had a Stryker https://youtu.be/HMQIm2NIHNo?t=45
You have to search way back to 2007-ish for those because that’s when the Stryker had the APS modules on them. That’s just how old it is.
i worded it wrong. any ways those circles on the stryker were where the APS modules were, its something that has always annoyed me whenever i looked at the in-game model.
the m1a2 sep v2 was a add on to the side of the turret. some of the m1a2s had multiple APS systems. Which is something i keep trying to figure out why drones are such a problem now like in ukraine. These systems could blow drones out of the sky with ease.
both the Abrams , Stryker and Bradley could use the Trophy system and the Iron Fist APS systems for some unknown reason the army said no to the trophy system and went back to the iron fist for the Bradley
Those are extractor fan vent covers. Nothing to do with APS
dont even know which tank you are referring to, and if its the stryker, then you are wrong.
Nah, it is definitely an extractor fan on Stryker.
It’s on all Stryker variants from the ICV to the MGS the only thing that changes is the position. You can see the interior fan below the position of these covers on every Stryker
The front one behind the driver is part of the CBRN filtration system, and is on all LAV variants even LAV-25 and Canadian LAV-IIIs
i.e. naught to do with APS installation.
Love it, definitly not saw that coming lmao xD
sth sth mw 2 sources seriously?
sth sth modern sources stating otherwise
No Viable Active Protection System Solution for US Army Stryker Vehicles: Official
not to mention how da12thmonkey was able to pove your wrong , they are fans / filtration lmao
A screenshot of an MW2 cutscene.
Lmao.
lmao brotha XDDD
sartt have you tried to google for sources that isnt a videogame?
Well it could also be the AN/VLQ-12 (V) “CREW-Duke” System, counts at least as a soft-kill, APS.
In addition to the prior AN/VLQ-6 & -8 / -8A.
Also LWS systems tend to be AN/(A/V)VR-XX, like the VVR-1 mounted to the Bradley and others.
Like the Abrams. (probably introduced with either the SEP, or -v2 configurations)
ISR Systems’ AN/VVR-1 laser warning system has been tested and incorporated on vehicles such as M-1 Abrams tank and the M-2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. This was improved with the subsequent AN/VVR-2 version that incorporated a single, mast-mounted sensor, and again with AN/VVR-3 which added a beam-rider detection capability.
