Balance maybe? Other tanks with APS in game (Challenger BN, Merkava) have drawbacks such as worse rounds, worse mobility, worse turret rotation, worse reload in case of BN and worse armour than Abrams. If Abrams got APS it would be objectively better than these tanks.

APS on the Merkava is not working properly, a single incoming missile would get intercepted but it would damage the APS making it vulnerable to other incoming missiles.
no APS in the game is working correctly or even close to well currently

From my experience it’s not, i usually tank small missiles like butter but the BMP2M and other air to ground missiles leave me so vulnerable and my tracks are damaged and can’t move.
that’s why we should add aps for us
that isnt the question, these are on sep v2 right now, and they are also on Strykers , the APS modules are even modeled on the in-game model
When the SEPV2 was added it the most useless addition ever, somehow they even didn’t add the trophy that would’ve made it worth the grind.

The black knight aps works well, its able to stop apfsds in game and its kind of insane.
Isn’t the “Laser warning system” pictured in the OP part of the MILES training equipment?
As neat as digital tank laser tag sounds, I don’t think I’d want to go up against tanks firing proper ammo while mine is set up for tank laser tag.

thats not how it works.
It should 100% get Trophy, but to my knowledge, the SEPv2 never had a LWS. Only the SEPv4 had a LWS, which is what those small boxes near the front of the turret are.
(Forgive the grainy image, this was the first file I pulled up and it does show the LWS quite well)

SEP2 was a good addition. Stop hating on the Abrams. That’s like saying T-80BVM was useless for Soviets, unneeded hate.
