Yeah which is one out of 50 it seems. People just don’t drop to the deck immediately and that is where you get them. If everyone did that you would be correct. But my experience playing it from 10.0 to 11.0 is that a majority of people will just stay high for long enough to get your SAM on target and kill them.
Anyone that actually gets close and either stays low or stays above you is safe because gaijin cannot be bothered to give the nation that designed and produced the weapon system anythin but the worst variant with only 35° of elevation and no separate tracking radar.
Having a counterplay doesnt mean that they are bad, spaa around this br trade things off, context matters we are talking about a 9.7 sam

it means its bad when its so trivial to get around. anybody can do it and it fully trivializes the roland
When was it fixed? Did I miss the changelog?
Not sure when exactly, but the report was changed to fixed around one month ago, it only took 3 years

True, but to be fair, the other 9.3s, 9.7s, and 10.0s (besides maybe the Rapier and M247) are trivialized by some 9.7 and 10.0 CAS too.
Doesn’t help if the aircraft flies more than 45 degrees above you

Only a couple years late.
Now the whole argument of the cheetah being a gap filler is irrelevant anyway with the new BR changes. It will be added at 8.7 (why do we need 2 SPAA at the same BR?) And even if it somehow still got added at 8.3 that lineup no longer exists.

great, so now we get a FlkPz Gepard in all but name and radar, and the AA gap doesn’t even shrink from the 5.7 - 8.7 it is now.

Yeah roland also goin up to 10.3 without any changes. At least they could change the turret to a later version wirh the tracking radar added. Not like they have it already modelled and on 2 other vehicles in game. One of those being 10.3 as well.
that one is honestly just baffling, you already get cucked by not getting the tracking radar for the AMX Roland AND you’re now at the same BR as all the other ones that do?

Yeah as if this does not exist.
Honestly they could keep the roland at 9.7 with 35° of elevation and no tracking. Just add a second variant of it at 10.3 with the radar. It’s not that hard.
