Because there haven’t and Germany leopards have been the least competitive with more of the recent actions due to them ignoring our tech demos and prototypes 🤷♀️
Ofc they’ll complain when it’s been 4 years and the contemporary nations (USA Russia and to a lesser extent UK) have had many new mbts and getting things like APS equipped tanks
That’s a huge difference then just accepting a tank (or well spaa here) because its not a 7.3 midder

Years between having leopards tanks being added will do that. Especially when you have literally no unique top tier vehicles since every nation has a copy(or in some cases, just a straight up better version)
At least the French get some unique vehicles now and again. Germany’s top aircraft is just a worst version of a vehicle in 2 other trees and their best tank is worst then the others.

Even then, the AMX-30 DCA should be 8.3, maybe even 8.0. It’s not worth taking over the Gepard after they removed its APDS from its belt.
Not really filling a gap if they’d both be 8.3 either.

It was not even really better then the gepard even before but after the nerf it should defo have gone down. Like you cannot just make a vehicle worse and not move it down. It was only 8.7 because the APDS (radar and AA capability of it are worse than gepard) and should be 8.3 now.

Leopard 1 A5 BE is also a unique version that required at least a new turret-model, the Leopard 2 NL-series was largely re-used assets but with additional addon parts, which I’d however agree with being largely copy pasted.
(i could copy & paste large parts of my userskins over, so that’s my metric for that…)
PRTL will be the same as 1 A5 BE in that sense, with needing at least a new turret model aswell.
Of course we can debate about functional similarities but thats a different topic i suppose.
Does it have it though? It also does not get belgian ammo.
I couldnt copy paste my userskin over so yeah, new model (or at least new UV map which is the most annoying part of making a model)
They did also infact give it some of the belgian ammunition in recent patches, which is certainly nice to see.
5he fact it took them a patch to do shows it was pretty much a minimal effort copy paste. Which is the main gripe with the subtree. If it arrived with proper weight, model and ammo I would have almost no issues with it
(apart from not geting a astabilised amx 30 for whatever reason)

This a pretty consistent trend with copy+paste vehicles.
A solid 40% of all c+p vehicles we have in-game have potentially distinguishing features which Gajin choses to neglect. So to some extent, I can’t blame people for being unenthusiastic about BeNeLux content when it’s clear their domestic vehicles are going to be repeatedly watered down anyways.

France goes from TPK as the last good SPAA, to the AMX-30DCA at 8.7.That’s 5.7-8.7. Then, to get the next ACTUALLY COMPETITIVE and GOOD SPAA, you have to go to literally 12.0.

50 degrees isn’t bad and it’s turret rotation is pretty fast.
It’s also quick and tiny.

I’ve spaded the AMX-10, it was an awful spaa unless the guy flew in level on the deck
It’s an IFV, IFVs do not come in anything but “large” size. It’s not small. It’s just smaller than most IFVs

It’s still smaller and quicker then other SPAAs and it’s able to track targets.

Actually since they added the multi vehicle SPAA and the radar control screen the Roland has becime quite usable. If you use the radar screen and auto guidance it’s like 5x better than manual guidance. Especially if you lock at 10km and start launching at 9 so they just get into the 7-8km range of the missile when it reaches them. Many people even at thkse BR will just ignore rwr and other stuff if they are that far.
Thats still very dodgable, especially from fast and low attacks who you wont even get to launch on
It is still a competitive and good for a 9.7 spaa, the issue about it is that you have to use it up until 11.0 which there it is outmatched
