I’ve literally had to hop multiple ASB lobbies today because for some reason they randomly had packetloss issues.
It’s not my internet. Literally another lobby, EU vs EU, had zero packet loss issues.
Other EU server had 30% packetloss.

the hate came from complete intransparency and drops that guaranteed you had to use real money or your nerves in the marketplace to get what you wanted. Progress bars are much more important especially considering some people have lifes and jobs. They need to know if they can/should do the event tasks.
Gaijin could have handeled the whole concept better
Im on EU server, only EU and most of my games are enemy planes skipping over sky, me bouncing of the ground without taking DMG, missiles just appearing on 3 km… But its not bad as it was like a week before Christmas, just unplayable and my internet conection is LAN and its consistent without any drop…
@RunaDacino
Packetloss is a DNS/ISP issue usually. Unless it’s happening to everyone, it’s on your end.
And if/when it does happen to everyone, the server usually restarts after that match. Gaijin could do with restarting servers 30ish minutes sooner on average to alleviate that uncommon problem.
@Zahltag
So criticizing War Thunder makes you a baiter or a fanboy…
Keep defending WT from criticism dude.
Keep claiming criticisms are bad takes.
Where’s your so called criticism? I only see a massive fanboy praising bad game design
@Zahltag
Me: PVP genre is bad game design and WT should focus on improving their AI so they can finally escape the PVP hole they’re stuck in.
Literally have been saying that since 2020, and they started in late 2022 who knows when they’ll finish as their competitor took 3 years to overhaul less AI.
I even stated it in this topic, though with less details.
The game has zero immersion and a game with zero immersion is nothing.
If you are having tanks from all era then you need to capture that specific era not mix them together.Do that and it just become a series of tank shaped pixels blasting each other and that soon becomes tiresome. Unrelated maps maps might as well just be a football pitch.
You are essentially wasting your lives playing a childish tank shooter and we all know that if we are pushed to admit it but we don’t want to be reminded of that we want to pretend we are doing something else,maybe escaping in a land of make believe but Gaijin can’t make the dream real anymore and people are seeing through it for what it really is.
We want to pretend we are in WW2 or 80s Russia vs NATO or something.War Thunder fights against that and that is why it all becomes so boring so much more quickly now.
If you came here as a tank fanatic or War historian to re live those great Panzer vs T34 tank battles then move along because there nothing here for you anymore ,it’s just a peow peow shooter where you just rack up a good score.How long are you going to spend doing that ? Ten minutes? Fifteen?
At some points, I commonly have to wonder if we even play the same game.
I just don’t have many of the issues people claim to be experiencing.
(Edit - Ahhhh no wonder, it’s a subtle CAS thread… FFS…))
Same maps and modes over and over again. Game is really good but so much potential for it to be great.
Just block Alvis it’s the best thing I ever did!
Burnout, just take a break, one is about overdue for me my friend, but who knows.
oh no you are also an AI fan
@Zahltag
AI fan? Dude, just say PVE like the rest of the world.
Good AI is what makes Civilization 1 - 5 fun to play. Most people don’t play them for the PVP.
Wouldn’t mind an a.i. overhaul, At least then they could be used more freely in other mode’s lol
Maybe it reached its peak years ago, there is only so much you can do to a simple capture the flag game that has not already been tried.
Now the focus is on money and how much can be squeezed out of a rapidly diminishing supply of the stuff, the game has cornered a very small market niche and wants to wring as much out of it as it can.
It will struggle with players not being interested enough too spend and those who want to spend simply not having that spare seventy dollars/ euros or whatever, it is a fairly large chunk to be spent on something you are hiring, is not yours and can be removed with no consequences at any time.
Dont know what you have, in my 8 years im still quite happy with it. Shure sometimes inbetween the big updates it gets somewhat boring waiting for the next big things. Tho overall i pretty much only play Germany Rank I / II, which didnt get anything in a relatively long time anyway.
But every update when new Historic reports of mine are fixed is always a really happy time.
Example not too long ago, Pz III B, E, F and J turret traverse from 5,5°/sec to 20 and 14°/sec which is really nice.
Im still waiting for when the Mg 151/15 Spalling is fixed, 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 gets its Sprgr.38 (and hopefully also fixed). And its reloade reduced.
3,7 cm KwK L/45 its Sprgr.40
Maybe someday a Sd.Kfz.10/5 added, which would be an ultimate low tier killing machine. After recently the 2 cm Flak 38s depression was fixed to -20°, it is a true hill killer on the Flakpanzer I Ausf.A.
And so much more. There is still stuff to add for YEARS to come.
This isn’t capture the flag…
ARB was skilled pilots vs skilled pilots
Now it’s crawlers vs bombers
GRB was Seek and Destroy; Ranging and aiming
Now it’s arcady, frontal only, network/ reaction challenge
NRB…Nah. There was hope, then there was none.
What was the hope for naval if you don’t mind me asking?
Most of long term players do get pauses and play other games, but return back to WT periodically.
When you feel you burned out, take a smell vacation, from the game
About air issues, learn to play the air, grind for some CAS and fight fire with fire
