Why is the Type 74 (E) 9.0 instead of 8.7

I would agree that Type 74 should remain 8.7, if its mobility wasnt buffed befire BR changes. Before it was a really sluggish, glass canon, which should play on the third line. Now its quite mobile tank, so you can do things, that you couldnt do before (still loses speed on turns, but ok). Yeah, kinda not good, when you see 10.0 tanls, but it wasnt much better when it was 8.7 (and you saw stuff like Leo2k). But im playing it now with Type 93 in setup (so its 9.3) and cant say, that im feeling too bad. Type 74 is a really decent tank, so it should remain as it is (but br should be decompressed further and XM1(GM) shouldnt have same BR as Type 74(G)

No one gonna mention it’s atrociously bad fixed-8x gunner sight?

I can take my AMX-30 to 9.7 and get a kill that doesn’t mean it belongs there.

Decompression is slow, moving the tank down is fast.

That wasnt the point. Type 74 is a decent machine and it perfroms fine on its current br, cause realisticly nothing changed for it actually. It faces the same machines as it was facing before, so there is no need to lowring it down.

Oh no, why did you write that ?
Now he will start spewing out nonsense data that can’t be backed by anything (not like he wants to in the first place).

I do not understand how you fail to comprehend that a 9.0 tank has a higher battle rating than an 8.7 tank this is a fundamental system in the game. This may be why you don’t view such an issue with the lineups being split apart, you likely take a range of tanks ignoring battle rating. I can’t explain to you why this is bad if you can not grasp how the Battle Rating system works.

The Type 74(e) is a decent tank that is at 9.0 for no legitimate reasoning. It should be moved to 8.7 allowing Japan to have a functional lineup for that battle rating which is now after the update one of the major battle rating groups.

Man… They were 8.7 previously… So as many tanks were moved up - they moved up to. SO, their line-up hasnt changed at all. It consists of the same machines…

None of what you just said confirms that on average 9.0 tanks will see uptiers more than 8.7. Your wild claims stated exactly that, bring down vehicle X to 8.7 and it will see less uptiers according to data you pulled out straight out of your ass lmao.

Yes if you are unaware there is a difference between the number “8.7” and “9.0” if you’ll take note 9.3 / 9.7 tanks were not moved to 9.7 / 10.0 respectively as well as 9.0 tanks remaining 9.0

8.7 is where the tank belongs. It has nothing that requires it to be in 9.0

The wild claim of 9.0 being a higher number than 8.7! The truth be revealed!!!

Even though i wait for the update to release to get that tank i will completely disagree. While T62m-1 is slower and with worse reload than T-55AM-1/AMD-1 it shares very capable APDSFS, T55s dont have good shells (except ATGMs yet its not reliable), as well as being taller and bigger target. T55s APDSFS pften doesnt spall and sometimes cant pen tanks of its own BR meanwhile T62m-1 doesnt share same problem.

Except… They were

At 9.0 5/10 matches they will face 9.3 / 9.7 tanks
At 8.7 that drops to 2/10 matches

This is a wild claim that has no backing whatsoever, meaning you pulled it straight out of your ass just to help your cause.

I had to take about half a second to find a tank that was moved from 9.7 to 10.0. This is yet another of your, honestly laughable, hot takes.

One tank being increased in BR = The entire BR range being decompressed, apparently

If your tank is 9.0, you will be uptiered more frequently to 9.7 / 10.0 than if you were 8.7

This is how the BR system works.

It’s not only one tank, read again, and better this time.
I just said I found one tank that got it’s BR increased in about half a second.

BR system isn’t fair, meaning 8.7 vehicle can see 9.7 matches more often than 9.0 vehicle.

“it’s not only one tank”
“I just said it’s one tank”

?

That’s not how the BR system works, at all. 9.7 is generally pulled up to 10.3 due to the prevalence of premiums at the tier.

9.0 / 9.3 is pulled up to 9.7 / 10.0 as that is where several solid lineups for major nations are.

8.7 / 9.0 are currently seated together because with the recent decompression that’s where multiple premiums are sitting and where most nation’s lineups are sitting.

I see reading comprehension isn’t your strong side.
One tank that got pushed from 9.7 to 10.0 has been found in half a second (aka. barely even looking), which means there’s loads more.
I can even write it down as a sketch if you still don’t understand simple sentences.

Any data to back those claims or are you, yet again, taking data out of your ass (just trust me brah) ?

One thing I want to point out is how most of the enemies you face are a lot more maneuverable and thus quicker to respond.
For example, when you want to clear a corner and fire, the Type-74s in general are not as responsive as the Leopards and XM-1s. Not to mention the loud engines we got, it’s mostly a losing gamble to try to rush/clear enemies around corners because we’re just simply too slow in comparison.

Instead, think back and remember your battles in the Chi-Nu II and Chi-To.
That’s how we have to play the Type-74. Steady, methodical, and precise.
We don’t brawl head-on and rush to attack. Keep in mind your situational awareness.

I do not understand why you insist 8.7 is not a smaller number than 9.0
