Nobody said your not entitled to voice your opinion. Simply he was pointing out, if even a small percentage of the time spent doing so was redirected towards reporting the issues, there would be more practical outcomes.
I or anyone else made no such claim. If you read what I actually said, I explained how its not a Technical Moderators job to go through a thread such as this, discarding what is not useful and trying to collect what is. All that’s needed is a simple report with the appropriate evidence.
Picking a single case where perhaps the report was not fully clear enough or was lost in confusion (which if that’s the case, a simple PM to any TM would suffice) is not a reason to write off all valid bug reports which are passed and resolved.
I will try to get some good clips and what not & squeeze some reports out this month, if anyone has any clips/info they think might be useful please feel free to dm me with it.
Im not even sure what this is, but its not a bug report or relevant here at all. Feel free to make a proper bug report if you think something is wrong with the B-29.
Again, this example is one that did not follow any of the basic guidelines and was an invalid report. They simply just linked to a content creators video and expected that to be sufficient for a report. When it is not at all.
This is an example of how not to make a report. Reports will indeed be closed if they do not follow the basic guideline requirements.
Oh, the video is depicting how the B-29s had a radio lead ability for the Turret gunners, they could track incoming fighters. I think i sent this to a tech mod 2 years ago, and the Ammo not detonation when its destroyed? How would someone make a bug report for that?
There are certainly some instances of bug reports being, for a lack of a better word, ingored.
I put this in Community Bug Reporting System 2-3 months ago. Nothing, no action at all so far. Now this is a very common and annoying problem in EC, accross multiple maps and even on Heli EC. focused on a single convoy on a single map to make it simple.
Not saying its the job of Gaijin to find bugs themselves. but when bugs are reported and no action is taken at all. Does get a little frustrating.
P.S Convoys still bug through the terrain all the time. in both SB and Heli EC, still no fix.
Reports can be pending for some time. We have around 10,000 issues open currently and hundreds more coming in every day. Many of which can be spam or non-issues. All of which however still need to be handled.
Whilst I can fully appreciate it may be frustrating to not have an answer sooner, your report and those like it have not been “ignored”. Simply with the volume of reports made it takes time to get through them all. In a case where a report has been pending for some time, all that’s required is a PM to any TM here on the forum.
Tell me about it. My record was about 7 or 8 months before the report had any acitivity and that acitivity was “is this still an issue?” My response was, “I have no idea, i’ve not touched the plane in 6+ Months”
There are certainly some issues with the whole bug reporting and things like needing screenshots for a non-screenshot-able problem, just make the prcoess harder than it really needs to be. I need to submit a bug report for a problem affecting the Harrier Gr1, Gr3, Jaguar Gr1, Gr1A and Sea Harrier FRS1 cockpit HUDs. but I just cant be bothered becaues its such a fiddly process, I keep putting it off.
When things like this need to be done by the community. voluntarily. Then maybe steps need to be taken to make it a little easier sometimes, especially when those reports go un-actioned for long periods of time.
In fairness. I submitted a bug report for the Tornado F3 TWS radar mode, and it was fixed in about a month. Though Gunjob forwarded it straight away.
But some “issues” never really get fixed. Buggy convoys in EC have been a problem for years and still waiting on things like missing Tornado Gr1/F3 HUD features. Not too mention Red Tops and SRAAMs have been broken and barely usable for over a year, but now only SRAAMs are getting fixes and buffs. Red Tops are probably another 6 months+ before they get the same treatment
ah reason for the quick fix was that the tornado was a big vehicle important for UK top tier that needed to receive a lot updates and were actively working on it, while the gepard is just a meh take it or leave it thrown to german players once again
Yeah… Also affected the F-14, whcih is probably why it was fixed so fast.
but yeah, a lot of bug reports never get actioned. these bug reports I need to do for 5 different aircraft, is a minor thing, probably wont getting fixed for a few months, even with gunjob bumping it through early on
Sadly the requirement for a screenshot is the bare minimum we can really ask for that
Provides the necessary in game data required (screenshots taken via the game actually capture game data for the devs
Prevent the most basic of spam by asking for a screenshot. Spam / invalid reports are already high on the CBR. If we remove that requirement, it becomes even easier to abuse the platform.
We actually made the whole process and requirements to make a bug report even easier than it was previously on the forum. Its now mostly dropdown boxes as the mandatory basic requirements and the rest is purely the evidence for the report.
well take this for an example, this is an Actual U.S Army video showing how the Bradley CALVARY FIGHTING VEHICLE HAS A 5 MAN CREW the 2 scouts helped load the atgms Bradley: Second to None - YouTube
