“Fine” now lol. By far the best 9.0 and will be even stronger after the BR changes.
No I also want the Tiger 2H, KV-1C, KV-1E (and KV-1B) and others nerfed despite owning and playing them. Playing multiple nations makes you face those tanks you play to realize how strong they can be and helps you to be less biased.
If the KV-1B/E only got downtiers like the 279 it would be stronger and it only gets balanced when it fights other op tanks like the Pz4, M4A2, T14. At least it has one weakness in the form of its weak gun. The 279 has no major weaknesses.
Also you don’t understand how to read stats properly. One person having good stats in one vehicle isn’t the same as thousands of people having a good KD in the 279.
They aren’t that far off in terms of average KD and unlike the 279 there are very few people that actually play the IS-4M/T32E1 a lot.
Going by my stats the T-34(1940) is the strongest tank in the game with the SU-122 being a close second.
279 is resistant to most autocannon rounds across the front 270 degrees of its hull. The chieftan hull is vulnerable across a huge section of its hull.
Chieftan has better numerical armor, but a lot of the early apfsds rounds have significantly better flat pen than sloped, so the 279s sloped armor counts for a LOT more than the flatter chieftan armor. Chieftan breach is also FAR easier to destroy due to the armor shot trapping a huge area of the front. CE the chieftan wins, KE the 279 does. Unfortunately, KE is more common at those brs.
Imo, APHE>APFSDS. Too many go-karts will cause darts to overpen where even the kinetic component of a APHE will do more damage.
@AverageWehraboo accusing others of lying despite the person’s quote literally there for all to see.
Keep accusing everyone of lying, all you do is prove the WT player base correct.
@AverageWehraboo
Are you Russian? Cause you’re using claims that exclusively Russians use.
Your posts also defend the Object 279 for whatever reason. Is it cause I’m defending the Chieftains?
Keep claiming that everyone are trolls and liars, all you do is prove the WT playerbase correct.
Making the WT playerbase your enemy only emboldens me, as I side with the playerbase.
Oh, you hid your profile… Your posts are nothing but accusations [provocations], and you don’t want people fact-checking your posts.
I am not your enemy. We are not in an in-game battle.
Both of us ideally want balance.
I assume you want to support your nation’s tech trees.
We shouldn’t fight just cause either of us misunderstood something in a post.
You are not Russian, I am not provocative [I get visibly upset if what I type upsets someone else].
So can we get along? Especially when we make mistakes in our posts, or have disagreements.
Turret armor is 500mm in AREAS. nowhere close to that across the whole turret. Turret ring is <300mm and is REALLY tall for a ring. left side when looking at the tank has 400mm on the slope but 250-300mm on the upper portion. The whole area around the breach is 200mm and you can pen it at angles to destroy both the breach and crew very easily.
You don’t need 550mm pen. You need 300 to pen the flat turret ring or the optic/commander area. Guess what most darts have? And lets not mention the ENTIRE ufp.
I’d say that the USA’s Merkava Mk1 is the best at 9.0 BR. Its also somehow more protected than the Merkava Mk1.B in Israel because it has tracks outside of the front hull armor, and it has a 30mm thick RHA plate behind the transmission, to compare, Israel’s Merkava Mk1.B(same tank but more upgraded) has a 10mm thick RHA plate behind the transmission and no tracks in the front hull. None of the APFSDS shells in 9.0 BR can penetrate the USA’s Merkava Mk1 from the hull’s front.
