How are you getting on with you’re new 2 stage triggers?
Btw i think the mk9 is far better than the mk14e
- I have a video clip of it too.

Mk 14 is what the LF IX looks like if it was balanced IMO. The LF IX is considerably busted to the point where I can compare it to the 3U. Sure, the 3U is more meta but only because it’s easier to farm KD, since you can get out of bad situations more easily.
The Mk 14 feels like a slightly better F Mk IX BR for BR. At least the Mk 14 can sorta fend for itself once you get to its performance zone. The F Mk IX is very sad if it’s under any sort of pressure whatsoever.
They do still turn well, but as you said they are more of a hybrid fighter needing a mixture of energy and turn performance.
The 2-stage triggers work pretty well and free’s up my left trigger but it does throw me off sometimes.
The LF MK.9 is the better dogfighter of the two but I find the MK.14E can actually catch things when the radiators behave whilst being a very good dogfighter too which is why it’s my pick. Also the MK.14E just looks better.
Mk14 does look a lot newer. My self being a xbox player i needs to be above the furball and the mk14 is safer with that for me as i struggle with ki84’s and ta’s at 6km alt, but the troble is the furballs drop very fast where the mk9 shines
I think the nose of the Griffons is just so sleek it’s perfect.
I am able to use the Mk.14 in dogfights with most things but Yak-3U’s.
You want to climb and hopefully force people low and then use your altitude to boom and zoom people.
Ki-84’s and TA’s I find manageable but if the P-51H’s and F2G’s use their brains and climb you are pretty screwed as you can’t compete at all.
That was a nice lucky pilot snipe and may of been the 50 cal’s.
They shouid give the F mk9 150 octane fuel as with all spits there after
With the yak 3u if i can get them with out interference i just kite them with energy advantage ie rope de dope. But getting 1 alone at altitude is another thing
I concur, SOMETHING has happened to the Spits recently.
For some reasons Yaks have been improving in comparison. I was able to energy trap Yak-3s that tried to reach me from 1500m below me, but suddenly… at the moment they climb like a rocket, so you have to dodge them as they rise past your own altitude, and then they outturn you. And all that above 4000m.
I wish I could enjoy spitfires.
The FM under Full Real controls is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen in this game. I’d be embarrassed if I was the Dev in charge of FM’s.
You do know that full control gives you 30% more on your control surface i believe
The Spits are too floaty. Like there’s no weight to them. One micro deflection on the pitch axis sends it into the stratosphere. There’s no way that Spits were this sensitive in real life.
The Spitfire is the only plane in this game that I need to keep a unique control profile for.
I was pressing cannons only so only the hispanos fired. In the game it blew off his wing, that wasn’t a pilotsnipe. If it was a pilotsnipe his icon would’ve disappeared - it turned grey. He lost a wing. That is hispano damage right now.
I trued to look at your plane but could only see the cannons, anyway you would love the typhoon
Good plane. I don’t go out of my way to fly britain very often so I haven’t touched it since last year. No one expects it to be good, which makes it one of my favorites.
But, we dont talk about how good it is 😉
because it’s the best prop in the game. It has insane top speed, great low to mid altitude performance, the best climb rate, great energy retention, devastating armament and very high no exceed speed with overall solid controls. The best one unironically is not the british spitfire lf mk9, but the American one. Not only it is much faster and climbs more; it also turns inside the lf mk9 and outrates the zeroes.
How is American one any different from the British? It’s a nice premium, but I always thought it’s just a copy-paste of LF Mk IX.
It isn’t, they’re the exact same plane.
The American one has four 7.7 mg’s instead of the two 50 cals the tech tree spitfire of mk9 has
