Not really, still has 6x Mav D’s alongside the rest of the ordinance it can bring. Yes SDB II’s would make it vastly superior in strike capability, but the F-15E is already very strong in terms of strike performance. It remains the 3rd best strike aircraft in-game behind the Su-34 and Rafale.
should be #1 since its the only one with “strike” in the name
you can tell the laser the exact direction, but not the range to a weapons grade lock quality, because the IRST is only absorbing outside information. with programs and stuff you can do ranging but afaik the LRF is more precise and reliable within its range
Id rather ground battles not be ruined any more than they already are, I know we’ve had this argument before, and it has nothing to do in this thread.
EFT could use SAL Brimstone 2 though, personally wouldnt be opposed as long as it came with something like Laser SDB I and EGBU/LJDAM
That argument would only hold true if the F-15Es ONLY A2G weapon was the GBU-39s. As it has both the AGM-130s and AGM-65s. The situation is differnet
i think it should really get Laser+GPS though, i mean its about time they got added to the US seeing as (afaik) we made the first ones
even LJDAM is in the German Tornado of all places, but not on an A-10C, AV-8B, F-16C, or F-15
Eurofighter radar is plenty usable, it’s still OP if its used right, the only issue is the TWS and the HMD not locking sometimes, but then again this is a common issue across all radars afaik
I think eurofighter mains would actually lose their minds if they had to use the flanker’s radar. Same issues but even worse
Coming from someone that has played both the EFT and the J-11A quite a bit, it sometimes feels like even the N001 radar is better
why cope for nothing?
Are we playing the same jet?
Ive played both a decent bit and the radars feel quite similar. The N001 still makes me rage more, but the EFT’s radar is definitly up their in terms of unreliable garbage atm.
The CAPTOR-M as it currently stands is a liability in sim.
Agreed

After reading this argument (beyond the somewhat arrogant and haughty language of the user DirectSupport), and after reading everything that has been written so far, it is clear to me that the EF 2000 definitely needs to be provided with all the components that characterize this aircraft and this series in particular. I also feel that we are reaching a point where there are aircraft that use AESA radars and weigh in with the advantage that this technology brings. In fact, now that I think about it, I understand why “nerfs” are sometimes necessary. I have always been against that, but one cannot be so radical when expressing an opinion, and I apologize for that. I do not possess great skill in playing the game, it’s true, but I still think and feel from my experience that there are some imbalances that need to be corrected. As I mentioned in another thread, combat aircraft from a certain period onwards incorporate electronic countermeasures in the real world, and that is something that is not seen in this game, but is seen in others. Of course, it has been said that this would create a whole mess and many imbalances, but, as a saying from my country goes: “he who meddles as a redeemer dies crucified” (within the Catholic belief). That is, if a game is created that stands out for its supposed realism, then I would like them to make the full effort to create a true gaming experience without violating military secrets, relying only on information that can be found on any reasonably serious website. In short, I believe that beyond “marginalizing” people for expressing an opinion based on their gaming experience, there should be a bit more professionalism in that sense, and be more objective in order to improve the many imbalances in the game that I admit I still enjoy a lot despite everything. I am a big fan, and like any fan, I am obliged to be honest and straightforward in order to help improve War Thunder.
I apologize for my shortcomings, guys.
Found this on the IRST 21 product page for LM
Specifically:
IRST21 can autonomously or in combination with other sensors support the guidance of beyond-visual-range weapons
I guess this should have been an additional source to support the theory for Eurofighter firing the AIM-120A’s through PIRATE without the use of laser rangefinder since devs believe it’s not possible without laser rangefinder.

They just need to action this report

Also found this, specifically for the Legion Pod on the F-15C, showing it was used to cue AIM-9X Blk II, assuming with DL but unfortunately had not completed AIM-120C/D live firings at least at this time.
It also notes the flight restrictions for the F-15C come from a lack of current flight envelope testing and not necessary a hard limit, and I think personally won’t ever be fully cleared as they will be superceded by F-15EXs before long anyways.
And that’s from 2020-2021.
