Why is the 9K127 Vikhr in game?

Dont spawn at the forward helipads, rule literally number 1.

@meki98
Sorry that you’re angry my Type 90s outrun your tanks.
Thanks for admitting Russia’s your favorite tho.

i was literally talking about someone else

you should bring the the early ah64 into heli ec there you will see how balanced the ka50/k52 is
putting the f15c with its current loadout against the mig23mld would be more balanced

I did, I easily outscore all Kamovs due to the ability to fire far faster.
AH-64 is the F-15C, and Ka-52 is the Mig-29SMT.

do you have a replay for that the kamarov is both faster and has more missiles which are also faster

also guess two times which is better in anti air

Friendly reminder the Longbow Hellfire is older than the Vikhr. It’s existence in-game without the 114L is entirely a fabrication on gaijins end, and does not represent any real life or historical precedent.

Kamov has 12 missiles [4 less than Apache], and is the same speed.

First attempt at playing a PVE match effectively solo, 8000 score.

Both are effectively the same in anti-air; their best anti-air missiles are manpads.
Vikhrs are worse than the Iglas for anti-air role.

Is 114L beam riding or?

MMW ARH seeker, as well as having a proximity fuse.

Proxy fuse would be great for A2A
I’d really like to see blast fragmentation Hellfire at some point in game

In terms of speed, Vikhr is the fastest
Mokopa being second with 530m/s
Meanwhile Hellfires go 475m/s. They aren’t slouches but it is noticeably slower

Yes, and that speed helps a bit… but with SPAA in the area you can’t use the Vikhrs like that regardless cause you’ll die.
This isn’t heli PVP anymore where the velocities between AGMs matter as much anymore.
What matters today is the following:
If there is no anti-air, Vikhr and AGM-114 are usable.
If there is anti-air, Vikhr and AGM-114 are not usable.
Only F&F IR missiles are usable when anti-air is up.

There is not a single missile anti-air with a missile speed below that of 850m/s for the 11.x class of SPAA that Ka-50 and Ka-52 face [cause Ka-50 is stuck in 11.3 lineups].

I beg to differ
In Heli PVE lobbies, Vikhrs speed is actually advantageous
In 90% of cases, Ka-50s and 52s are first to strike down the convoys and other targets

Yeah. Let’s just completely ignore the fact that Vihkrs can be used as an APS unlike every other missile you have discussed.

TOW-2 has 4.4kg of TNT equiv and the Vikhr has 5.1kg of TNT equiv. Its not really roughly the same if the Vikhr has 16% more TNT equiv mass.

DeltaV of the Vikhr is 897m/s. The TOW-2 has 290m/s.

Also TOW-2s are wire guided and have VERY limited guidance window
Not to mention that Vikhr has more than twice the range of TOW

lol, Vikhrs are WAY slower in heli PVE. WAY slower.
Let’s bring up a scenario:
All missiles fired at an assault, 16 for Apache, 12 for Kamov.

I ripple fire every 5 seconds the 16 AGM-114s. 80 seconds to fire all missiles + ~30 seconds for the final missile to hit.
90 seconds total.

12 Vikhrs: At most you can fire 2 at a time with a 2.5 second ripple, but you need more time to hit accurately.
Each set of 1 or 2 Vikhrs takes on average ~25 seconds to get to target.
With sets of 2, that’s 150 seconds to get 12 frags, while Apache’s reloaded and on its second assault.

AGM-114s are and have always been superior to Vikhrs in heli PVE.

Identical to Vikhr…
The range and speed is what makes the Vikhr 11.0 instead of 8.7.

@warthogboy09
That’s Russian disinformation…
They cannot be used as an APS, no where close.

TOW-2 also has like 1.6s of burn time with an acceleration of 167m/s^2
The Vikhr has 0.28s of 574m/s^2 + 7.56s of 169m/s^2

Can’t laser guide only one missile at the time?
(Granted if its non stationary 105mm rifle, inertial guidance will take care of that problem)
