The bug report site is specifically and purely that. To report bugs. The answer is what we direct at the issue being reported and for the user themselves to address their issue.
Think in a case like this it would be wise to post a response clarifying the situation, as clearly you went in there for PR reasons after it was on Reddit, so clearly people would be paying attention to it.
I wouldn’t have to make this whole thread if it was clarified in the first place.
Hundreds of reports are processed each and every day. Unfortunately I cannot read each and every one of those personally. But this is why we have the report function.
You shouldn’t have to if moderators took their job seriously and didn’t enforce their own agenda and just dealt with the reports in a professional manner, but alas.
Anyone that is unhappy with the outcome of a report and believes there was a mistake can report the post directly on the bug site:
This will then be reviewed by a different member of the team or myself.
In addition to this, a PM can be sent to myself or any member of the team.
Exactly how are we supposed to use this function? I report something that I perceive as a bug, I get told it’s not a bug.
Bugs and features are the same thing in this game… am I supposed to report my own post as what?
This feature is to be used if you believe the response you have been given is incorrect or a misunderstanding as well as the other points within your screenshot here.
It’s none of the above though, there is no option to request a second opinion, there is no option to clarify and it makes no sense to flag a post as misinformation or something.
Seems weird having to jump through hoops to get a bug report acknowledged when we are reporting things in the best interest of the game, already going out of our way to take screenshots, record videos, post clogs and dxdiags only to be denied without explanation.
Why is it a challenge to try and get bug reports through?
And you can say you can report a post but there are still no logical options for reporting it and I’m sure picking a random option will be used against players and not work in their favor.
Biggest problem I have is not just that the response was unnecessary and really added nothing to the bug report, but how he (KnightOfTheAbyss) labeled it as “not a bug” meaning that no-one was ever going to look at it again unless it got brought up again (which it did).
That seems to be the trend, I had a report about MGs failing to destroy a fence whilst every other MG is able of doing so, but not a bug, report closed, end of story.
Im glad to see you’ve treated the matter with some level of seriousness because repeated situations like this will do nothing positive for the community’s view towards the game. thanks for the quick update.
