Apparently it is a master of dogfighting according to this guy. But thats what I was telling him its literally only good for the one turn, but apparently that a skill issue on my part I guess. And yeah I don’t think two g’s is really any different for a missile performance. No clue what this guy is on about with it being the most hand held fighter in the game and over powered, its not even all that good against 9.7 aircraft tbh because the second any of them make the XS break its speed the XS is dead.

I find it has its quirks, it can lose speed ridiculously quick but if you dont get the killing shot its over. The XS is a real missile bus but i haven’t touched it since it was 11.3 (im a fan of the F-35) so i play the worse Draken and on average due quite well, but positioning and knowing what you can win against is key. the MF or SMT are almost always going to beat you. They hold energy better then you and regain it better than you. But you can win in a few cases if the pilot has 0 braincells

I don’t think the aircraft is a complete piece of garbage as much as I’m ragging on it my point is unlike what the poster for the thread said the thing isn’t hand held nor is it by any metric op for 10.3 its an alright aircraft with some advantages, and some disadvantages personally I don’t think it’s a 10.7 aircraft though as most things will walk on it if they aren’t stupid. You’re f-1 video is a good example of that I mean if he had any flare’s or even if he would have just stuck closer to you, that would have resulted in you dying as you would have then been pretty much just stalled out in front of him. Although it was a clean reversal I must say.

The Ariete is “perfectly balanced”. I’m playing Italy air and I get to have my one psycho theory about what I delusionally think is balanced or fair, in fact I might just go make a thread on how I think it should clearly be 8.0 because it’s form the 1950’s lol.
Yeah him and his SMT teammate had been camping me after i killed 3 of them. I was trying to rearm on my airfield and had just taken off when he hit me, which is why my DM model was visible in the clip, the Draken imo isn’t terrible but there far better vehicles at 10.3 and 10.7, the entire BR imo is a mess of compression, id rather the XS go up if it got its historical missiles an all aspect RB28 and radar guided RB27 whoch is why the gun is missing. Additionally R13 missiles would be nice also. Its a shame the Drakens are so held back equipment wise.
I feel the same about the F-1 its sad how it was largely responsible for getting radar gun lead removed from the game when it first came out, but now its not only doesn’t have radar gun lead its stuck using missiles older than the airframe it never saw, and can’t even get a rocket ccip, much less a lot of the cas options missing from it.
Hey if its any consolation sweden had all jet tracers removed for 3 years because IRL they had gun lead assisted sights and after 3 years gaijin added tracers back because they refused to give them their lead assist lol.

Maybe, I’m pretty sure it was more the F-1 though at least I remember way back in the day watching a video on the F-1 and its gun lead being op, but I might be misremembering things, either way the T-2 is just the trainer variant of the F-1 so I’d imagine both would have the gun lead if the trainer has it, also considering the F-1 Saw service pretty far into the 2000’s no?
Compression, the Ariete is def P2W given it has 50% more thrust than the Sag 2 at the same BR. But snail loves to say but muh que times instead of giving us proper balance

T-2 has the exact same radar, came out earlier, and had gun lead before the F-1.
T-2 was 9.7 with lead gun sight, it was the king back when it was added against F100 and Mig 19
Ah I see I only ever saw the video on the f-1 having the gun lead, but either way it not getting it back is sad.
