probably the most handheld plane in the game right now anyone saying otherwise is just lying 6 AIM-9Js at 10.3 ??? and its a mach 2 fighters miles better than any harrier or mirage even its FM while does dump energy can climb high and fast literally the most broken 10.3 this facing F100A/D and mig 21 F13s is absurd

I don’t have an issue facing it in my Ariete, I think its alright typically its flying slower than the f104, and can’t keep a dogfight going as well as many of the other aircraft in the br due to its high energy loss. Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen one doing mach 2 in a match.

I don’t think so its no longer the go to purchase for people trying to grind Sweden Air anymore, its a vehicle that plays well against another jet in the one turn or when it gets a drop on someone, otherwise its not very effective, as its out performed pretty heavily in both dogfighting and speed by similar platforms, especially at a higher br. The only reason the aircraft was ever as high as 10.7 to begin with was because of its ability to rocket bases, it was never sitting at 10.7 because of its actual flight performance.

It’s strange you’re complaining about the XS because for 10.3 Aim-9J’s aren’t uncommon infact there is planes with better missiles sitting at a lower br than it, and its flight model is once again only good in a one turn fight as it will pretty much loose all its energy right away due to it being a literal flying brick. Like if you are loosing to it I don’t know what to tell you? Don’t get yourself in a position to be shot by missiles if you don’t have flares and don’t attempt to win against it in a one circle, plenty of the 9.3 aircraft and above can walk this thing in a dogfight as long as you keep it out of the one circle.
yes but they dont have 6 of them most 10.3s have AIM-9Ds only plane with similar missile at a lower BR is AV8 and thats a brick unless you use VIFF and is as hot as sun
even the F4E at 11.3 only has 4

What’s your point? having six of them allows them to what, miss more? what position are you in that this thing is actively being allowed to shoot off six 9J’s at you? Yeah cool it has more of them but a lot of aircraft at 10.3 have at least four missiles so its not an outstanding amount more, and once again it having 2 more missiles doesn’t really offset the fact its a brick in the air.

How? its a 20g missile you can outpull it and by the way 9J’s don’t have flare resistance either, 9D’s only pull two less g’s. 9E’s are at the same BR and lower with the same performance. R60’s have straight up better pull although less range, I believe there are magics ones at the BR no? there is 9P’s which are overall better at 10.0 flat. SRAAMS, exist. The 9J is not a unique missile at 10.3 and its flight model is especially against other 10.3’s terrible you could run absolute laps on this thing in the F-1.
Also lmao telling me skill issue when you are complaining about dying to the brick lol, I play against in my Ariete all the time which is flareless subsonic 9.3 aircraft and have little trouble facing them because once again the second we go past the one circle they loose energy advantage I can now run the fight. The XS is ok at 10.3 against other 10.3 aircraft lol, it is nowhere near the level of the 10.7 fighters like the f5c, f-8E or J-7D and all the mig 21’s and such at that BR. Its Good in the one turn and dropping on people otherwise its not very good lol.

9D’s are the cage locked 9G ye? Dont they also have 5s of burn time compared to the 9J’s 2.5s?
5s can make shooting at 5km way more common than the 9J imo

No clue I didn’t look that far but that makes this even funnier if true. All I know is this guy apparently just keeps letting this thing on his tail and challenging it in the one circle.
Whose letting an XS get on their tail? They do one turn they get stuck going 400kph. And with only 1 gun i rarely see them get gun kills or bother shooting their missiles when they actually have a chance to hit, too many people treat the 9J like a R60 in agility lol
Wiki says 3.5s burn time so ye instantly better than the 9J imo, for preference ill take a longer range missile any day, besides 18-20G difference is so miniscule it doesn’t matter, better burn time is far better.
