The Mig-21MF is at 10.7, and the J-7E is at 11.3, which makes the J-7D fit nicely at 11.0.

if we go based off undertiered Mig-21s, then sure. If we go based off the other aircraft at that BR, then the Mig-21MF should be 11.0, J-7D 11.3, and J-7E 11.7.
I don’t really know why it went down to 10.7 as when I was playing around that br they seemed to be doing better than other premium teams usually do at 11.0

Nope, it was about the money, it was always about the money.
The MiG-21SMT/MF were great at 10.3, but they aren’t that broken now that they are 10.7. And no, they shouldn’t be at the same BR as the MiG-21Bis.
Mig-21Bis itself is undertiered.
I could see the MiG-21Bis go 0.7 BR highetr than the SMT/MF.
This would make it such that it would be 11.3, and the J-7D 11.0, but I could see it being on par with the Bis due to the much more useful missiles (albeit they’re not all-aspect nor is the better flight performance as good as the Bis’).
The J-7E going to 11.7 kinda makes sense, but it will then face F-16s and Yak-141s…
that chart is incorrect. pl-7 radar slaved is 35G not 30 pl-5b.

I am sure that the current J-7D is better than the ‘EVERY’ 10.7BR jet.
Strange, I think I saw ‘mindless bombing J-7D’ extremely rare so player stats wouldn’t be that bad.
I think buffing J-7D is on the same level of bullshit-ess with [buffing F-86/MiG-15 while ignoring the rest of early jets]

SMT is better than J-7D tho, it have much stronger engine.

But, According to BR setting, Gaijin might think SMT uses same engine :|
Affect by stats and partly due to it being premium. People use this thing to base bombing, shocker right , so it wr and kd overall not reflecting the thing as a fighter. So gaijin assume that it is fine at 10.7
