My friend, I like the HVAP belt vs aircraft.
Kugel can’t really reload to AP fast enough.
And this mixed belt works “OK” vs tanks.
And HVAP as 1st shell means M-geschoss fly a bit faster if I remember correctly(good chance 30mm HVAP is not that fast…), because this game is dumb as hell and 1-st shell in the belt determines the speed of all shells in the belt, so it’s also best vs aircraft.
I would tolerate 50/50 HVAP/HE belt, but pure HVAP? No thank you. Occasional M-geschoss also can overpressure open tops. Shoot M36 in the turret front with M-geschoss. HVAP won’t go through, but explosion will.
It’s stabilised, has tons and tons better gun handling, better reverse (still bad) and at 5.0 US cannon is better vs most targets because it has way bigger explosive filler - most of the time both will pen, but with 76 turret shots are more often 1 and done.
But I generally agree VK deserves to go up. But it’s a good example of a tank which teaches people bad habits of… sitting back and hoping someone else takes the cap.
Well the the VK has extra pen, so in uptiers it has more potential.
And yes, both tanks have terrible reverse so bringing that into equation is an lol.
I agree, VK is theoretically better in uptiers.
But it is generally not a fun tank to play and it promotes the type of gameplay that makes German teams lose.
M4A1 76mm wants you to go forward, where you can utilise turret rotation and stabiliser.
Panther around a cap on that jungle map with sandy beaches next to the sea is like a beached whale, essentialy it takes 10+s to face a new enemy. 10+s he has to spot you and aim.
So what does Panther player do?
The right thing.
Camps in the back.
M4 has better reverse. 5km/h or whatever it is is way better than 3km/h, even if both are slow, one will hide 3m of your tank in about 2,2s, while the other will take around 3,5s,this is a big difference to me.
No reason to not have belt options, why can there not be a HVAP belt when the Soviets can have an HVAP, an IF, and a 50/50 split but the Kugel only gets a crap 1/3 HVAP.
Yeah, 1/3 HVAP is a bit bad. But 50/50 is generally better all-around. I hit aircraft at over 1000m with M-geschoss that still does something, while HVAP acts like a wet noodle fairly often. The advantage Soviets have is lower BR, better range due to better ballistics, and enough pen to go through even German and US heavies side (80mm) because it has over 90 pen, while Kugel is set up for failure with 77mm point blank, and this makes a big difference
Kugel is at least fun, while Zerstorer, oh boy, now that thing is bad - you flank the enemy, turn your guns, oh, sorry - you can’t aim down to the sides, only up, bwahahaha, and then your gunner dies to 7.62mm coax.
2 letters H & E.
Not exactly a uniquely Germany issue
nobody dose, those things ALL need to be moved up a full BR. And at least the Russian ones don’t have a LRF like the PZH-2000.
this is all heavies at 6.7+ (and lower, but it’s not as common)
From my experience, germany does poorly from a lot of poor players.
The amount of tigers that decide to turn and face me head on without angling the hull is pretty large.
But there are other things.
I get matches where the german players all sit back and refuse to get caps.
Matches where they throw out smoke the second they get hit. Now i cant support them since i cant see.
Like 90% of stuka pilots not knowing that they can pull on the stick.
Dont get me wrong, the other nations have their own issues with players. But the mid ranks of germany have it pretty bad. The big 3 (US german russia) all suffer from this

I agree. It’s not fun to face 152mm gun with reload rate of WW2 medium tank.
That’s true. I forgot super hellcat is a premium (of course it is, as it performs the same role as M56, only better), but other nations have at least some fast heavy-hitters or armored mediums, that can do some brawling. Meanwhile Germany is either KT or paper thin fast tanks with low post pen damage. Nothing that can actually “get the job done” around the cap.
Which is the continuation of the “Germany stays away from the cap” problem.
They stay away cause what they have doesn’t work that well, Jp4-5 gets CASd or shredded by SPAAs, M41 gets CASd or shredded by SPAAs, both need multiple shots per target, while T44 will just casually tank 128mm shell and 1-shot a Panther, then tank 88L71 to the turret because your aim was off by 10cm.
I would feel a lot more confident getting in cap with jumbo pershing than KT, and nowadays I would also get there a lot faster, lol.
Angle Tiger H1 and tell me how well it went. Seriously, that thing is pure pain to play.
In Tiger E I bounce quite a lot, but I also, guess what, play trapdoor spider from some distance, because cap is death. I’m the “German player” everybody hates, myself included.
German players are bad, but their tanks teach them all the wrong stuff. “Stay back and snipe” is a recipe for disaster. It’s the equivalent of “just turnfight, bro”, but for tonks.
I’m glad you have 0 arguments.
Because way better front armor, especially turret and better gun and .50 cal are no big thing.
For a “sniper tank” M10 is better.
And for “up close” tank Pz IV is a bit less horrible, but still fails.
I do have arguments, it’s just not worth actually listing them because you aren’t here for an actual discussion (as can be seen from all the comments in this topic).
Pretty shrimple.
Edit: Here’s something, for example.
This is flat out NOT a weakspot on the KV-1 L-11. In fact this is the area with the THICKEST TOTAL ARMOR that the tank has, since the cheeks sit in front of the turret front, meaning it is 75 + 75mm thick. The crew gets damage purely because some of the armor shrapnel that penetrates the cheeks makes it through. It is an identical scenario to the T-34 (1942) cheeks which are 53mm on top of 53mm, and you should AVOID SHOOTING THEM unless the turret is angled away from you.
Yeah the weak sides of the Panthers and KTs are exploited because you team doesn’t push forward, so if you do you are extremely vulnerable to flankers. Although a lot of the new maps seem designed to force head on clashes with very limited ability to flank.
THAT is another can of worms all together…
I find the KT is very good at doing that, the gun shield seems magnetic in it’s ability to attract and eat IS-2 shells aimed at the cheeks… and with the IS-2s reload… that really hurts LOL
Its saves me from a good amount of rounds.
Yeah, they seem to do the two extremes. First they try the “hold W” because “german ww2 tanks op”. Then when that doesnt work, they go full opposite and just sit on one hill the whole game.
There needs to be a way to teach flexibility.

No, seriously no. I’d easily rank Germany No.3 for CAS, very close behind U.S. and Russia. Do 335 and Fw 190 are better than 99% of what America gets between 3.0 and 6.0 (that 1% being F4U-4B)
It seems to me that the issue you’re having with German tanks is playing them like U.S. or USSR tanks. VK 3002 and Hetzer are ridiculously OP. Tiger is mid imo, but you should not be playing Panther in a way that gives 76mm sherms the first shot.
Admittedly though, I just ditch the Panther for the VK 3002 in my lineup.
In what world is the 335 and Fw 190 good CAS
Tigers are literally op
-
Do 335 got good bombload (comparable to U.S. planes) and great firepower.
-
Fw 190 D-9 is very fast, great firepower, and reasonable good bomb load.
-
Fw 190 F-8 has SC 1000 and either rockets, or X-4, or SC 500 and very strong Mk 103 autocannons.
-
Me 410 is also pretty good but overshadowed by the Fw 190.
Tbf, this might be abit of a biased take since so much time using .50cals has led me to crave guns that can actually strafe well. Also, Fw 190s hold their own in a dogfight surprisingly well.
