The J-7E has to go up, other planes shouldn’t go down because of a black sheep
The reason the F-5C has flares is because a later model was capable of mounting the flare pod, not the F-5C though.
Things like that are for the sake of balance. It would be totally unfair for a Mirage 3C to bring 9Ms into a 10.0 game but it could. That’s why the F-5C doesn’t need better missiles even though it could mount them.

Nah, the F-5C got flares because it’s a premium.
Later F-5 variants carrying flares has nothing to do with it.
Also, more importantly the current pods on the F-5A and C were modifications on export models. They were never used by the USAF

It was because F-5Cs in other countries could use the flares. But not US copies, so technically it was possible but the aircraft in game is a US model so it’s fictional.

Can we just agree with the fact that the entire F5 and F8 family is undertiered before this patch?
Everything is moved up by one tier and that means F5C is only effectively raised by 0.3, that imho is very fair for it.
The F-5C is a modification of an F-5A
If an F-5A can, then the C can.
Which follows the “philosophy” We observe in game like with the Ariete. And yes it can be applied to more vehicles in game and it has
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the Mirage 3C CAN mount AIM-9Ms. It never did though. So it wouldn’t be historically accurate.

I dont know if you noticed but according to Gaijin’s Logic if certain vehicle or weapon system does support multiple variants then its entirely possible to add it.
Like it or not the rails on F5C support multiple variant of Sidewinders, including All-aspect ones.
Also just because i pointed something doesnt mean you should act like total douchebag.
I’m not being a douchebag, I’m giving reasons as to why having all aspect missiles on the F-5C is a terrible idea for balance. Just because it can doesn’t mean it should. The flares in the F-5C are fake. Even though it could mount them, it never did. Thus they are ahistorical and fake.
In case you didnt noticed i only talked about techinicalty, never said anything about adding better missiles.
Well that didnt stopped Gaijin to adding multiple ahistorical stuffs.
For balance purposes. While the flares may be ahistorical I support their addition because it helps boost its BR so it doesn’t terrorize planes at a lower BR anymore.

The Mirage 3C gets magic 1s. I was talking about how it could mount AIM-9Ms because the French rails are backwards compatible with sidewinders.
The F-5C uses missiles as secondary kit, its primary kit is its guns in conjunction with its great agility and MER. Also, in the Vietnam war, the F-5C only served during 1965, back then the AIM-9E was the newest Sidewinder missile in operation by the Air Force. It never used AIM-9J’s in service, which came out a few years later.
