Why have mevericks and Hydras been nerfed

Why is it that i could carry 98 Hydras and not even use half for just 2 bases but now it takes almost all 98 Hydras. or when I decide to change it out to mavs it takes at least 4 if not all of them . Please tell me why so it can make sense

Rocket damage to bases was nerfed about a month ago because of how OP it was. Rockets are significantly lighter than bombs but did significantly more damage and generated more SL/RP. It has been retuned so that carrying the much heavier bombs rewards the greater reward/does the most damage (as it should)

Rocket spamming bases got nerfed because it screwed over high tier CAS/bomber players too hard

no not FFAR they are hydras. a10 has Hydras not FFARs

I have no idea I’m afraid. I’d assume they’d do damage equal to an unguided bomb of the sama size.

I would think that too but they dont even take a quarter of the base’s health. Anyways thank you I will abandon Hydras and go to 2000 pounders.

Opposite.

Bombers previously could take just enough bombs for a single base then the rest rockets. This allowed them to bypass payload nerfs get full rp for 1 base with bombs and full rp for a second base with rockets.

Bring enough bombs to kill 2 bases gives you almost exactly half rp/sl/score per base.

But now you can get 2 bases with 4 napalm and no nerf to gains because they buffed napalm to help fighters but forgot planes can carry 4 and didnt nerf that.

Maybe its because i play britain but I’ve never had payload problems where spamming rockets would have been necessary. I get screwed by fighters with napalm now
