The conversion is indeed very bad and it could be a good idea to convert some of that rp with a big amount of SL.
Both accumulate endlessely in the hangar so let’s use them
Not needed at all. You want to spade/research without playing then open your wallet. Convertible RP pooling is not a good reason and they would rebalance the economy if they opened this up.
It is just a complete misunderstanding by many as to why it exists.
If you have issue with the “conversion” then it is an issue with the GE costs which are already set by Gaijin, so why would they alter this? Ask for a GE reduction across the board instead, which of course will be a big fat NO. Let whales be whales.
To be clearer the title should be “Lower Cost of Paying GE for Research” as CRP is not really relevant.
Not saying that it’s needed, i’m saying that it would be a massive benefit for players.

That thing is just a massive bait for people to open their wallet, like if premium accounts and premium tanks weren’t enough.
The grind is the worst thing of the game and being able to speed it up with CRP without sleeping in the street would clearly massively benefit the game.
It would destroy current rewards.
Gaijin doesn’t give without taking something away.

CRP is just there as an option to spend some money and skip the grind. That’s it’s intended purpose and the only reason why it exists. In theory premiums accomplish the same end except you just play the game for it.
At the end of the day, these features keep the lights on and allows others to truly play the game for free.

Probably the best argument I heard about this feature but still, that thing bothers me.
I would be interested to know how many people use it compared to premium account buyers.
Maybe they could open it just a little for enormous amounts of SL like the lootboxes money sinks. I have so much SL that I don’t even know how to use it.
Clearly I would be willing to spend millions of it to speed up the grind.
And for people who don’t have much SL, they could still use GEs or buy some SL in order to keep the light on as you say.
I am fortunate enough to have disposable income and I have used CRP to essentially skip top tier grinds when planes are released. I plan to do so when the MiG-29G is released as well.
I only really buy premiums when I intend to grind an entire tree as the cost of just GEing it would be too high.
It wouldn’t hurt Gaijin to do some conversion discounts more often like WoT does.
Good idea. I remember using the feature and spending some gold when the rate was 1 gold for 5 rp instead of 3 or something like that.
