This made me curious of mine, so just loaded up to check… Just shy of 30 million CRP. 99.9999% of that will never get used. Such a shame it cant be converted into SLs or something,
I was gonna start by saying that, but then was like, you give someone an inch, (in this case starting small) they take it a mile (gaijin making it even smaller)

It’s not imaginary, it’s common knowledge made of years of statements and Q&A from devs explaining the grind is based on planned grind times and game play.
The they would take away the 20% free rp you earn. They aren’t going to give you easy access to convert able rp for free to research modules faster to get more free rp faster. You guys don’t look at the big picture or all the mechanics already in the game and the negative impact your suggestions would make on them.

The point is to understand what that specific metric is or baseline. All games have an expected playtime/grind and they are all different.
Out of interest, what is peoples convertible RP currently at ?
Mines just over 80 million at the moment i type this, i can get proof, however i’m currently at work.

The problem lies in the fact that partly you get RP equated with Silver Lions, which you (at least) can use in the game. I have >100 MILLIIONS of useless RP and feel a little foolish that I addition to receiving these RP at login… also receive them as a prize by participating in various events. These useless RP have become a big JOKE on social media… And I understand very well why.
So THANK YOU for supporting the game via your premium account and by buying vehicles etc. - for this, we would like to acknowledge with some useless points. Am part of a WT group on the web, where we give each other RP for the best joke.
You have not lost anything by having CRP exist.
I personally have never accessed my CRP because I never try to skip the grind directly with money, neither do you I presume.
It is almost a carbon copy of your RP earned, you lose nothing by it accruing.
You already used and gained from RP, it is how you progress research and modification. CRP is just a limiting factor on how quickly a player can use cash to directly influence their research and modifications, that is all. Longer term players it is not a limiting factor because as you already have such a large pool of CRP it no longer matters.
I will never understand why people believe they have lost something. I am all ears.
I have not written that I have “lost any value”… but that RPs are worthless, bland points.

Since you receive Silver Lions at the start of WT - and that these have a value in the game - it seems ridiculous to receive worthless RP for the same. The fact that you also “win” worthless RPs by participating in events as a prize makes it even more ridiculous. Rather, give players an opportunity to convert these RPs into something useful in the game.
Premium Account
Please note that when players purchase Premium account and in-game vehicles etc., this will contribute to other players being able to play for free. After all, a game like War Thunder is not a philanthropic game that does not need revenue. There are no advantages in the game itself by purchasing either Premium account - or vehicles.
You still meet vehicles with +1 BR in the matches, which I consider “match fixing by Gaijin”, where the outcome of the matches is decided - even before the start of a battle. Furthermore I don’t see any advantages in the premium vehicles purchased anymore …But in the past, there could be advantages to buying a premium vehicle.

My guy, it isn’t really useful unless you have money to pay for Golden Eagles. I’ve seen a bunch of different ideas on how it could be changed some good ones and some bad ones. But the consensus is that it should be usable for the majority of players. Instead of being forced behind a paywall.
Now do I think it should all be used for everything no, however a small duration here and there let’s say->if you are almost done with a vehicle or a modification you could use the convertible RP. However, GE comes into play when it is a new vehicle. This creates a balance between those who are focusing on GTP->Grind to Progress vs those who would rather PTP->Pay to Progress.

lol . . and I actually have used a good bit over the 10 years I have been playing. But I also play a lot, with well over 50k games in just AB(which I play most often) and I am pretty sure this is still the most I have ever accumulated. I used to just pay out and research new low tier vehicles when I had more “disposable income”(I still think that’s an oxymoron . . kek) but by & large I have mainly used it to payoff that last little bit on a modification, low cost of GE’s and just speeds things up a tiny bit, but I don’t mind that much. As you climb to higher ranks/BR’s those costs go up a good deal and I can see some players going this route to bypass a good deal of that on their way to “spading” things at higher ranks . . . makes sense. Most everything I play nowadays is already spaded, so CRP is not that useful to me currently, but it is still there. And yeah, there have been many calls over the years to make this “currency” more useful. But as it is so easy to gather in a big pile of this stuff, not really sure what else they could make it work for really. I think this is one of the items in the game that is a leftover from way back in the early open beta times, 20 tier system . . . quite different from what we have today . . . the CRP just hasn’t been changed in that time. Yes, it could be reworked, but it could also end up like the medals, far to easy to get before the “change”, now most are insanely difficult and unrealistically implemented . . easiest thing I can see is allowing us to buy snowmen & carrots with that stuff . . odds of winning good stuff are really astronomical, so . . . prolly wouldn’t hurt anything for something like that . . . . but that’s just me . . I don’t really see any changes any time soon tho . . “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” . . . . perception . . . not likely that Gaijin sees this as being “broken” . . . .

about 55.8M of CRP, if i need to use all of them, it takes me 1.24M of GE, if i bought the 25k GE pack, i need to buy 49s and cost me 39200 CN￥, equivalent to 5450$ , if i use those money to but the priems but not the CRPs, i can buy all the priems in store now and still leave 2300$ 😨
Would be good even in the annual sale just to have 50% off convertible Research Points
1 GE converts to 90 RP instead of the current 45

Would like to be able to unlock some of the camouflages that are locked behind GE’s with convertible research points or at least get a discount by using them on camouflages.
Otherwise they’ll just keep accumulating as the cost to use them isn’t worth it.
