Why exactly are the Chieftain's at 8.7? Either decompress the 7.7 to 9.7 BR range or decrease the Chieftain's (and any similarly suffering vehicles) BR to 8.3

My KD might be higher than I thought in the Chieftains, but that’s exclusively because I only use it under perfect circumstances for the vehicle. Otherwise, I run the Rooikat and Vickers Mk.11, which have gotten me several nukes. The Chieftain has never awarded me one.

The mk3 and 5 have awarded me most my nukes tbh man haha.

It goes clean through the ufp of the T55AM series and the T62M1 quite easily too however that angled UFP can bounce it

As a long range Sniper, I will always prefer the Gimel at 8.7 over the Chieftain.

Most 8.3 tanks now smash 7.3 tanks into the dirt. It’s kinda what being 1BR apart does.

Creating more compression is not the solution.

The problem, to begin with, is that the Chieftain can’t reliably face off even against 9.3 vehicles. It’s currently in an unfair position.

It can face off against them mate? How can it not.
The only tank ive struggled a bit with was a well positioned T72.

I can physically count on my hand the number of times I have died to a Chieftain over the last few years. That’s the problem

Them not being very common isn’t indicative of them being bad.
They’re just not suited to many peoples play style.

It should have been added to the Chieftain Mk5, but it doesn’t change the fact that it doesn’t currently, and is barely superior to the Mk3.

No. The calculator for Spall in this game between APDS and Long Rod APFSDS is too wide a gap to bridge

last I checked which was some years ago the effect of the chieftains APDS was pretty close to on par with the likes of DM23 or M111 as it is known, ofc not as good but not far apart at all.

Almost all these tanks are green to each other, bar the ZTZ88B and A, which are both more mobile, faster loading, better rounds, especially on the longer barreled ZTZ, have access to Anti air rounds as well as an effective .50 cal.
