First of all the Mika does have practically over 60 km of Max range game against a target flying straight, which is how Max range is determined. Secondly the MICAs guidance delay was reduced .15 seconds you can see that if you look up the missile spreadsheet Done by gszabi. And thirdly, no missile can have over the shoulder ability because of how they’ve modeled HMD in game and the fact you can’t fire an ARH from an IR track mode.
I will give you a piece of advice, in the future before you post a bunch of bug reports like that look up what the actual values are instead of looking at the stat card.
The range values your listing are the ones on the stat card again look up the actual spreadsheet. gszabi explains those are the stat card values and do not mean anything.
No missile just explodes of that range. I personally have gotten 50 km plus Mika kills all that bug report would do would update the stat card to say 80 km instead of 50km.
maxDistance is the flight range limit, or the self-destruction range if you will. It’s a real value. rangeMax is what the statcard calls launch distance. It’s a “fake” value.
,…
i’m not going to argue again for 105th times of the week,…
people are asking to see a Nerfed MICA, vs current in-game one.
but people don’t realize that Current one, is actually nerfed vs IRL one,…
as such,… why not giving Super 530D instead of MICA’s? to go further in the direction most uneducated people thinks that their missiles should be better than the frenchy one,…
the MICA, unlike the AIM-120, is designed with a different approach and multi-purpose usage.
So you guys are crying over the MICA,… only because the AIM-120B/C are having heavy nerfed values (certainly on purpose because of how Americans acts with their military secrets nowadays).
but that doesn’t change facts that War thunder is a “fast game” (so well said by Bulannikov in last Q&A), as such the moment you should use your AIM-120’s are really scarce within the game,… where the MICA is adapted, because of it’s multi-purpose design.
you guys look at those missiles, but forgot to tell how air combat is actually doctrined by both nations,… (which is way different)
at the end of the day its a game and if your gonna nerf 1 missile for the sake of balance like they did multiple times when the aim120 was the meta the same should apply to the MICA and they dont even need to touch the flight performance just give it the same shared seeker as all the other fox 3s instead of it having the only unique seeker at top tier.
what are on about??? this has nothing to do with seeker specs since NONE of them in game are based on any real life data they all use a shared copy paste template except they randomly gave the MICA less than half the fov of the others.
if i recall all fox-3’s came quite at the same time
the AIM-120B and C were added to confort US players, and to match the actual missile employed by their aircrafts
with such arguement, one could say that Magic-2 should be replaced with MICA-IR on board Rafale F.3R
as Rafale never seen Magic-2’s, since the introduction of MICA-IR:
on the C F.2.1 Standard
the passage of old M F.1 to M F.2.2 or M F.3 standard.
AIM-120 was the most common ARH missile (still is now) and people didn’t understand how to consistently defend from a long range attack from altitude. It was the “meta” because people were bad at the videogame and most missiles getting shot at you were AIM-120.
I remember there was a nerf, but I don’t remember if it was to placate bad players or a historical change.
why an old missile (MICA being introduced same time as AIM-120A), would be today a problem, then?
you come at me saying MICA is the problem,… then how can the missile not Being META when it was facing AIM-120A, is now a problem facing AIM-120C and B?
