One I don’t think an actual majority of players know of its existence or remembered to turn it on and I also only think the setting is being used when player counts are really low as I’ve only seen 12v12 to 8v8 when its middle of the night or off peak hours. To be fair 12v12 is sometimes common in lulls during the day.
and yeah 16v16 or even 12v12 just wont work especially as we either get stealth or EW or long range missiles i.e. meteor, it will either be unfun or ruin their possible implementation when your getting hit by 16 radars spread across a very small battlefield your guaranteed to be scanned with stealth aircraft, or have 16 different meteor missiles fired at you
I am really sick of the hype about missile ranges. I would trade 30km for a seeker like MICA in a heartbeat. If you die from a missile at 25km or more, you are a bot.
Hardest seeker to notch, because players have made easy to understand bug-reports about it, so DEVS didn’t took years to understand what they were given in sources.
with the previous explannations @SocMinn_Jr :
Yes, today current MICA-EM in-game is nerfed for balance purposes already,…
If you slow down the second video that I posted in the original post, you can see the fin start to turn immediately after the missile leaves the rail That’s definitive proof that that sources either wrong or outdated for the aim-120a missile in the second video is a B and any missile after that should have the same feature. if the original chart that you sent is from the a that would make sense. It has worse, electronics, and slower processing than the B and all subsequent models. I trust a live fire video much more than that chart.
First of all the Mika does have practically over 60 km of Max range game against a target flying straight, which is how Max range is determined. Secondly the MICAs guidance delay was reduced .15 seconds you can see that if you look up the missile spreadsheet Done by gszabi. And thirdly, no missile can have over the shoulder ability because of how they’ve modeled HMD in game and the fact you can’t fire an ARH from an IR track mode.
I will give you a piece of advice, in the future before you post a bunch of bug reports like that look up what the actual values are instead of looking at the stat card.
The range values your listing are the ones on the stat card again look up the actual spreadsheet. gszabi explains those are the stat card values and do not mean anything.
No missile just explodes of that range. I personally have gotten 50 km plus Mika kills all that bug report would do would update the stat card to say 80 km instead of 50km.
maxDistance is the flight range limit, or the self-destruction range if you will. It’s a real value. rangeMax is what the statcard calls launch distance. It’s a “fake” value.
