I’ve said it before and threads have been deleted but this game is like playing against the AI. There is zero chat or communication other than the radio spam. No one talks, no ‘hi have a good game’ ‘Maus by C cap’ or anything remotely handy.
Yes I sometimes play in squads and communication is better but the general chat level in this game is non existent. I’ve played online games since 1995 and this is without doubt the most sterile. Just feels like a single player game.
What…? I have the exact opposite thing happen in most of my matches… The general or even team chat will just go crazy over some goofy thing 😂. It’s partly why I haven’t quit the game. Sometimes no one will say anything and you just have to start it. Trust, if you say something super out of pocket, you will get a response 😂
Also, try playing air rb, it’s where I see the goofer stuff in the chat 💀
for real, it’s either “Attack the D point! Never! I agree! Defend the D point!” at the start, or a nice conversation about how buggy the game is on the ‘all’ chat mode
The ambiance is very lackluster. Still better than before but even then that’s mostly because they figured how to increase the volume of the files that were set to an incredibly low DB.
Air RB, especially props and early jets, there is a lot more time to chat away while getting to the battle. And even in battle, for example, if you’re heading away from someone even if they’re slowly closing, you still have time to chat because they basically can’t shoot you if they’re more than 2km away. You can also be more hands off the flight controls so can type easily.
Tank games (which I don’t play often) I feel I’m basically instantly shootable by anyone that sees you (which is close to game start) and it doesn’t get much better. Also, your “hands-on” vehicle control is more continuous. So no time to type away.
Even so, the Air RB chat has certainly died off these last few years but there are still some good ones.
Depends on servers/modes. ARB is quite talkative, AAB is basically empty except for team coordination or when the vowel man shows up and people get angry at him.
