Why does the F-15E have a 22.5% thrust loss vs other aircraft

S.ducts are bettwr because they break the Shockwaves through their shape

no

especially because we are talking static thrust where shockwaves isnt a problem at all

Yes, it’s justified to you to give Russian jets extra thrust, but ask why the F-15E has so much channel loss and it’s hurr durr US main power trip

Engines optimised for high speed and power, war thunder shows static installed thrust on the stat card. Will be higher at high altitude

Most public figures are static thrust. Saying it’s optimized for higher speed and altitude makes 0 sense and doesn’t really mean anything

Theres just one example ive found once i bounced on the app, literally at the bottom of the suggested thread thing at the end of s topic.

Yes thrust to weight matters but as I said, if the acceleration times are correct, who cares?

because thrust to weight is involved in a lot more equations than just acceleration

You just tried to ping ALL 124+ of the Moderators. Did you just join the forums? Do you realize how incredibly rude that is?

EDIT: Kk, looks like you were not actually successful. But still rude, and a huge overreaction. There is a flag button on every reply. But imo, there was/is no reason to report that person you were having a conversation with. Don’t abuse the reporting system(s).

It doesnt actually ping us.

thats good

should still probably like ban someone if they do it too much though

there isnt a distinction between suggestion mods and regular mods?

There is a difference. But that “ping” in the reply I quoted made it look like he pinged ALL the different “flavors” of Mods: https://forum.warthunder.com/g/moderators

There forum mod team and the suggestion mod team are seperate groups, but we are all still moderators included in the group.

Most of what we deal with is just the operation of the suggestion process, but we are also in charge of moderating suggestion threads in the more general sense.

While S Ducts may do this, the straight ducts also have ramps that do the exact same. Thing, so this doesn’t really matter. In the grand scheme of static thrust.

S ducts have higher channel loss than straight ducts. Due to moving the air, twisting it down. So. That same reason is applied to when you change the direction of airflow. Into the engine as out to the engine. That’s why thrust vectoring engines tend to produce less power when they actively are thrust vectoring.

But for some weird reason the F18 seems to have like .5% channel loss which is kind of really low. Compared to all the other American fighters like the F15, the F-14. Literally just any other fighter. It’s weird anything that doesn’t use an S ducts Doesn’t have the the same. Channel loss buff I guess. I think it’s something to artificially balance the fact that the. Well, the airframe. Is slow and has a non positive TWR and near straight wings

Someone looks butthurt. Did you read the whole sentence? About balance, player statistics, gaijin behavior? Or your US main brain short circuit when you saw Russian jet?

its a blatant double standard regardless. the tornadoes werent doing too hot either

Is it a double standard to give German aircrafts 9Js that they never used while MiG-29 is stuck with R-60s? Is it a double standard to place F-18A at 12.3 with better avionics, better sensors and more radar missiles at 12.3 while MiG-29 is at 12.7?
