Why does the F-15E have a 22.5% thrust loss vs other aircraft

As title reads. Why does the F15E have 22.5% of thrust loss vs other aircraft? Some people have mentioned channel loss. That is wrong. Compare how unrestricted the turbines of the F-15 are to both the Rafale and Eurofighter. The F-15 also has a better variable intake than the Eurofighter. The Rafale doesn’t even have a variable intake.

this engine operates in emergency mode, not standard mode. you’re looking at wrong numbers for al31fp on google

Pretty sure the numbers used in WT are for when the engines are mounted lol

WT doesn’t have emergency thrust listed

Yes and every other aircraft has installed thrust percentage loss under 13% except for the F-15

you think that’s bad? the Su-24 has 40% channel loss

for su30sm yes

i WONDER why, totally not because the F15E is fat and heavy af on its own?
If i smack a 500hp V8 in a Miata and in a Dodge, which one you think would have the most theoretical performance loss

Btw, is it modelled correctly with time limitation? Or AL-31FP can be in this mode infinitely? Also technically it’s not “emergency” mode, it is designed to just reach top speed faster.

Fat and heavy doesn’t equate to thrust loss

Check thrust loss on a MiG-29 while you’re at it.

it should be time limited to 7 minutes if i remember right

mig 29 has less thrust loss

yeah, it should be limited, but i dunno if it’s 7 minutes per flight or just can’t work more than 7 minutes without giving it some rest.

idk

Around 18%. Less than 15E but still significantly more than most.

That makes no sense either. The Mig-29’s intake has an unrestricted straight run to the engines

Gaijin “balancing”, what can i say. Funnily enough people even brought German manuals about MiG-29 with thrust graphs for the installed engines and gaijin did nothing.

If it was balancing that’s one thing, I’m genuinely curious how they arrived at those numbers

Either way im curious why your already 2nd or 3rd fastest jet needs to be 1st again

F14 also has a lot of thrust loss the F/A-18A/C has like negative channel loss btw
