With the top tier expanding, you wouldn’t necessarily even be able to do that.
You could even cap it at 1.5 or 1 BR, so the lowest a (soon to be) 12 BR tank could only go down to 11.whatever, where it faces mostly peer threats, and many of them spaded or highly researched, with projectiles that can compete, in many cases being the same projectile and just varying armor schemes or subsequent models.
You’re fixating on the top tier, and forgetting there are 11 more below them, and we are losing a lot of players to the enormity of the stock grind and the absolute shit kicking you get at many tiers when you take a new vehicle out
The reality is, if a game stops growing. It starts dying rapidly.
A Leo 1A5 with darts and LRF would be a very challenging opponent for a TTD without thermals, RF or darts of his own. You’d also have to remember the tanks it would see would at that down tier would also be spaded/fully equipped or they would also be lower.
I would agree a 8.0 would be too low for given the near invulnerability of the TTDs frontal armor at that tier.
Maybe, but you also have to consider, just because someone doesn’t go “all in” for a player’s ideas/suggestions/wants & wishes, doesn’t mean they are on Gaijin’s side automatically. The world is not 2 dimensional. Being pragmatic means you can look at something from more than one point of view, and doesn’t mean you have chosen a side. While we are not skinning cats here, there is usually more than one way to do things. Pointing out flaws/discrepancies in someone’s idea also doesn’t mean you are against it.
High tier is the only place where the stock grind is a huge issue.
Decompression and a reduction in the stock grind is a much better idea than this. Give all vehicles all essential equipment when stock, and decompress the game.
The issue is that War Thunder ,despite what any of us may think ,takes a lot of thought and work by some very clever people we like it or not.It is not for us to say here what can and can not be done or simply dismiss what can or not be done unless we really do have the inside knowledge.
Somethings though do seem apparent and one of those things is that War Thunder is some what trapped when it comes to expansion and moving forward.
Only by thinking outside the box and being positive about change can this game ever escape its self imposed constraints.
We can be negative or realistic and say that War Thunder is limited by a 12 year old engine but I am lead to believe that Gaijin have changed that engine over time.
If Gaijin wants to survive in a changing world it has to think of new and clever ways to do that ,It’s nothing to do with me at all.
Currently you might be correct but that is only opinion like mine but you have to remember they made this game in the first place and created everything all of us love about it. It is possible that many of us on here are not concerned with a broken game but want to preserve and improve a very good one.Not every criticism or request for improvement is made with a negative view.
