Why does the A-10A Early only get two AIM-9L's?

The model in game shows a double pylon, therefore begging the question of why does it not have full access to those extra two missle slots? If its purely for balance thats fine, I’m simply curious as to why?

i mean considering the 9l’s track record for hitting things, im not sure it would really matter, other than being helpful in not having to constantly rtb

10.3 uses cannons, the A-10 is one of the most maneuverable aircraft.

but slow as hell, so the only way u die to one is by stupidity

i love the warthogs ability to turn on a dime, truly my favorite grinder rn (pls let the tomcat leaks be real) and its love for atomizing the fools who joust with it, i just think if its on the model and has no reason (that i know of, dont crucify me if im wrong) that it couldnt, i think it should be able to use 4, whether it be a different aim-9, like the D or B for balance.

honestly 4 aim 9ls would be fine if there was decompression since getting in a downtier to 9.3 with aim 9ls would be free kills.

The thing does not have an early or late seperation. Pure marketing tactiques.

correct, A10A was only ever one version. The 2 aim9L vs 4aim9L is wrong, and there was never an “early” A10A, only the pre-production YA-10A, and the “Night attack” YA-10B

It should have been the YA-10A or YA10B that was added as the premium, with one A10A being a tech tree

so the A10A(E) should have 4 9l’s?

Of course it’s a problem it would have been better than the line version

yes, but it would also need to move to 10.7 due to being identical to the A10A “late”

personally, It should be moved away from all the 9.3 flareless aircraft and this would fix it

I would rather “A-historically” nerfing the loadout to be aim9G and moving it down to 9.7

rare case of balance via limiting the quantity of the weapon instead of outright removing it
