I get the point you’re making, but the third and fourth thread is not about how the R-27ER is OP or anything like that, but about how the R-27ER is at their current BR on certain aircraft, and in some instances replacing them with R-73s. It is more about the BR and historical accuracy (replacing R-27ER with R-73) than the weapon itself.

It doesn’t, especially when you consider the rafale is extremely fast and ARH missiles adopt the energy state of their launch platform. It has good enough range for BVR and is just strictly better than everything else within its NEZ which is still plenty large

Aside that y’know, Rafale is artificially limited in speed on account of a RAM coating that isn’t modeled. It also doesn’t have good enough range for BVR, as against the platforms MICA faces it runs out of a chance of hitting the target past 15km.
Which is becoming a significantly more common engagement range with the current r77-1 implementation.

Please. I’ve hit MICA shots at 35-40km before. The Rafale can go 2000kph at altitude very easy and BVR working at all is fully dependent on the other guy being asleep or not knowing how to notch in the first place. The MICA didn’t deserve to have a unique seeker. It was and would have been the best ARH regardless of this buff.

ive hit shots ay 40km with R-77 doesnt mean its somehow a bvr capable missile tho
If the target dies to an amraam they will likely die to a MICA. “BVR” in WT is purely a skill check to see if the other guy understands what notching is. If they do, sure, they won’t die to a MICA. They also won’t die to a R-77-1, or AMRAAM B/C.

It’s like this for every missile, BVR in WT only works against AFK players basically.

With new aircraft they need to notch my aircraft radar as well. Bvr is much more effective against notching targets now that our can hold datalink so easy on captor and irbis
Please… Notching AMRAAMS or R-77-1, or any other ARH outside the MICA, is a trivial thing to do in game if you know what you are doing. The only ARH missile that is difficult to notch is the MICA because it has a different, better, seeker than anything else.
You just want a missile that is a guaranteed kill inside 15km to be buffed and be a guaranteed kill even above that range…

True, you have to noth the aircraft radar if they’re holding datalink however which alot of people don’t even know
Because people dont know how to deal with it and end up putting themselves in dire situations
The simple method is to avoid its path or runaway if you dont want to fight him if you can of course
The useful method is to keep him at distance
at the same time you wanna pre notch after firing or fire while in the notch
Recommend firing first to put pressure
Another method is to fire ir and arh subsequently if your 10 km apart and lower
like aam3 9m or r27et track suspension at range works well in some scenarios always worth trying since people dont flare sometimes
